I particularly appreciated the good work–life balance, flexible working arrangements, international academic environment, and opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from different professional and cultural backgrounds.

The greatest disadvantage was the lack of long-term job security. Fixed-term, project-dependent employment can create considerable uncertainty, especially when decisions about extensions or future opportunities are communicated late.

The university could improve transparency and provide earlier communication regarding contract extensions (!), project funding, and future employment opportunities. Employees on fixed-term contracts would benefit from clearer career pathways, timely decisions, and more structured support in transitioning to another internal role when a project ends.

The working atmosphere was generally professional, respectful, and pleasant. The level of support often depended on the department, project, and individual colleagues.
