Das Unternehmen geht den Bach runter
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
home24 gives a chance to people with little experience, so working there shortly as a Junior can be ok
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
poor communication, poor decision-making, high employee turnover
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Stay humble
Arbeitsatmosphäre
A lot of employees fear for their jobs at the moment. Motivation is down across every department I know. Good professionals leave the company or are asked to leave. Many feel unappreciated.
Kommunikation
Positive news is communicated, but bad news (and there are a lot!) is not communicated properly if at all. Townhalls consist of board members talking how great everything is, whereas numbers, mood check results and customer feedback show completely different picture.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
In my department people are ready to help you, all you have to do is ask. But after many employees left, without being replaced, workload increases and motivation goes down.
Work-Life-Balance
Home-office is allowed only in exceptional cases. No one is compensated for extra work hours.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Low-level management lacks training and that shows often. Department Heads are full of themselves and rarely listen to the people who actually do the operational work. A lot of mistakes happen because of this! Upward feedback is welcomed only when it is positive.
Interessante Aufgaben
You can always ask for more work, but due to technology/data/staff issues there is often limitations of what you can do.
Gleichberechtigung
Almost all management are males. Big egos everywhere in the company.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Very old laptops for anyone outside the technology department. Big rooms full of desks and computers, no air. Floor is constantly dusty and dirty. Lounge area is great though.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Hundreds of catalogues printed and not used, just laying around the office.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Salaries are low. Promotions are rare, especially given the current financial problems. Shop discounts are given, but who buys furniture every year?!
Image
Just look at the share price development and it will be obvious.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
No development plans for the employees, barely any courses offered.
