Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Verhalten Führungskräfte, Integrität mangelhaft. Lehmschicht, boysclub.

Misstrauen, Ausnutzen, plumpe Vorgesetzte. Hier lernt man, wie es nicht geht.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Worst company to work for!
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The canteen and company car.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Everything I mentioned above.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Change the CEO (XM) and dedicate a considearable ammount of resources to improve the company culture.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
I can only describe it as the most toxic work environment I have ever worked in. With a few exceptions of genuinely supportive people, the day-to-day reality felt like constant competition rather than collaboration, where trust was rare and political behavior often mattered more than good work. Instead of feeling empowered, the environment created ongoing pressure, fear of mistakes, and a sense that you always had to watch your back, which over time made even strong performance emotionally exhausting.

Where do I find the -10?
Work-Life-Balance
It was different between departments.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
This is non-existant.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
The overall culture of this company encouraged siloed thinking and internal competition rather than true collaboration. This made it hard to build trust, a sense of belonging, or feel part of a unified team working toward a shared goal. Sometimes even "goals" and objectives were a mere suggestion.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Superior behavior often felt hierarchical and control-driven rather than supportive, and from my perspective many leaders did not seem to know how to actually lead. People were placed in leadership roles without clear leadership skills, direction, or accountability, which resulted in confusion, poor decisions, and a lack of guidance for teams. This perceived incompetence at leadership level reinforced frustration, disengagement, and a feeling of being managed by authority rather than led with purpose or competence.
Arbeitsbedingungen
This is changing all the time and not for the best.
Kommunikation
Communication was fragmented, political, and often unclear. Information flowed top-down, late, or selectively, creating confusion and unnecessary stress, while important decisions were frequently made behind closed doors by Coreans. Feedback was inconsistent and often indirect, making it difficult to understand expectations or feel aligned, and open dialogue felt risky rather than encouraged.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Salary was ok, as well as the only two good things this place has to offer: canteen and company car
Gleichberechtigung
Interessante Aufgaben
Unfortunately, positions that promise great things do not bring progress in a hierarchical system.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Free lunch and the possibility to have the newest models as company cars.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
deeply hierarchical system, complete lack of information transfer, irregular work performance, non-knowledge-based evaluation
Verbesserungsvorschläge
If they do not understand universal human values and do not apply them in their corporate culture, they will not get very far in the long run. Of course, it is possible to develop by trampling on everyone else. That is not exactly a European value.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The work environment is not supportive. It's more like a Hunger Games. A toxic work environment. And everyone stabs each other in the back wherever they can, to keep their position or get ahead. It's not performance that counts most, but how well you can flatter others.
Image
Fake.
Work-Life-Balance
It depends on the team, some people take coffee breaks practically all day long, while others can not even stand up for a short toilet break.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Forget it.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Above the average, but the possibility to make steps forwards is low, maybe after 5 years.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Short but good, greenwashing existing in this company as well.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
This place is full of fake smiles. You simply cannot trust people's credibility. This is not just my personal experience, but something I have seen in others as well.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
If Koreans... more likely hierarchical. If non Korean, it's pretty normal.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
The first and most important rule: you cannot leave any trace of criticism in writing. You can do so verbally, but it will never have any consequences. If you have a problem, leave the company. Don't complain, as this is a sign of disloyalty to the system and your manager.
Arbeitsbedingungen
You will have everything what you need.
Kommunikation
Sharing information is non-existent. As a result, mistakes are common, which of course must be corrected immediately. And everyone involved can run for a solution. It is common that if your manager does not know the answer to a question, they will simply not answer and sweep the question under the rug. They cannot handle the situation and instead of losing face, they dodge the question. Most managers lack a holistic mindset and strategic thinking.
Gleichberechtigung
What matters is that you are Korean, especially male. And you get lots of bonus points if you are a member of the Korean church. Then your performance doesn't really matter. If you don't belong to either group, well, you can break down at work, and at most they will reward you with a fake smile and put a Korean with zero experience above you. This company is a prime example of institutionalized racism and sexism. When they don't even look at the resumes of non-Korean applicants, they go straight into the trash.
Interessante Aufgaben
Highly team-dependent. There can be a big gap between paperwork and product development.
Atmosphere has gotten worse
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Free lunch
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
How the company is treating people
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Don't switch your HR team every 6 months. Talk with people. The view people that actually talk with us and help us are leaving the company
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Lot's of people are not motivated and somewhat scared to be fired
Work-Life-Balance
No more remote work. If you start later than 9am or leave before 4pm you are not working hard
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Only exists on paper
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Impossible to get promoted if certain people in HR do not like you
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Good within own team. Between different teams no so much
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Some good some bad
Arbeitsbedingungen
Good
Kommunikation
HR does not communicate with us at all. Information are only shared by other colleagues
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Good salary and benefits. Benefits are getting reduced
Gleichberechtigung
Koreans are more likely to get promoted without any reasoning
Interessante Aufgaben

STAY AWAY
Verbesserungsvorschläge
change top management, ensure respect of meritocracy and clear career paths. Invest on respecting and motivating your employees otherwise this company is facing collapse
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Employees are demotivated and management is clueless
Work-Life-Balance
long working time, zero appreciation for hard work
Karriere/Weiterbildung
career is based on manager opinions on your personality, forget performance and objectives. You have better chances if you are german or speak german. They prefer to hire people from outside with better conditions than promoting.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Most managers are completely unprofessional and rely on low-level employees to fix their mistakes or clueless decisions. Work is by urgency, never by vision. Usually people backstab each other because they crumble under pressure from above.
Arbeitsbedingungen
they are reducing benefits from all sides
Kommunikation
Whole departments get closed one day to another without prior communication. You might be moved to a different job at any time because they have no idea what they are doing. Koreans usually take decisions behind closed doors. English is only partially the working language as managers will talk in german between each other in front of you.
Gleichberechtigung
90% old white or korean men from automotive
Interessante Aufgaben
you will probably be moved to do something different than what was promised to you. this is pretty common.

Toxic work environment - Trust the negative rewiews
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Free canteen in the office
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- Toxic Culture: While many blame the Korean management, toxic experiences also come from micromanaging German leaders. Independently of nationality, age or gender, the leadership generally behaves the same way. They foster a high-pressure and stress environment with an overwhelming workload and a stricking lack of empathy.
Also, there is a lot of talking behind people's back and hipocresy between colleagues. You hear people critizing and saying the worse things about each other, only to compliment them or even publicly praise them on LinkedIn later.
There are many cases of colleagues being terminated during their probation period. I've heard they often dismiss during this time with the justification of "not being a good cultural fit". In HME they are very selective about who they “let in” and you have to play “their game” to succeed. As a new joiner, you will be thrown into cold water and be expected to survive.
- Micromanagement: The management here it's around control and asserting authority. You are always expected to go the "extra-mile", and you have to continually prove yourself to be enough. There is constant pressure and everything is considered urgent, even though it is clearly not.
Also, the management style is very hierarchical and old-fashioned. I have seen situations where in big groups, decisions have been simply taken by one person, without considering anyone's opinions. Despite disagreeing with it, employees are afraid to say anything and will only complain about it once the meeting is over or the person has left.
- Lack of flexibility: You have a very limited amount of days to work from home and you have to manage them per quarter. You are required to submit the days you want to work remotely in a system and the manager has to approve them beforehand. Forget about doing more than 2 days in a row at home-office, since most managers don't like the idea of not seeing you in person for that long and will control if you do. Even having this option, some teams are not allowed to work from home at all because their manager doesn't want them to.
Also, the flexible working hours concept they promise during the recruitment process is not real.
- No work-life balance: In order to succeed in this company, you have to sacrifice your personal life. There are collagues that receive emails after working hours with tasks that are "very urgent" for that same day. There are also cases where employees where contacted and requested to work while being on vacation. There’s no system to track working time, so most people do extra hours every day with zero compensation or recognition in return.
- Very bureaucratic: They have very long processes for everything. In order to get the most simple approval, you need to fill in a long template and ask for several signatures from different employees.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Treat your employees better and improve your toxic culture
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Toxic and high-pressure work environment
Work-Life-Balance
There is no time tracking system, so most people do extra hours every day. Also, the flexible hours concept they "sell" to employees is not accurate
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
The salary is at least quite good
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
They are starting to do some CSR things now
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Korean colleagues get along very well
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Micromanagement leaders that just want to control and assert authority. You are always expected to go the "extra-mile" to continually prove yourself
Arbeitsbedingungen
The office is modern and includes a canteen. However, the IT systems are outdated
Kommunikation
"Good communication" here means receiving hundreds of non-relevant emails per day. Your inbox in HME is always overloaded but there is still lack of transparency
Gleichberechtigung
There are barely any women in leadership roles

Arbeitsbedingungen
