Top down management, destroying the agile culture and a lot of pressure
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
the work from home regulations are really nice
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- massive top down management
- no trust in the employees
- management giving teams 250% workload
- saying they want to be "a great place to work" and "diverse and inclusive" but they don't do anything to achieve this
Verbesserungsvorschläge
- Stop the top down management, ask the people that actually work on/with the stuff what they think before doing decisions
- If you tell you are diverse and inclusive than be it and takes concrete measures. For example make it possible for transpersons to change their name in the chat tools and their email easily. Add child care subsidy. Anonymise and diversify the hiring process, talk to people what they need to feel more comfortable
- Don't move Agile Coaches out of the team to set the on initiatives, it is essential for their work that they are part of the team
- Don't set up big expectations and deadlines while ignoring the teams that actually build the stuff
- Trust your employees
- If you behave like a big tech company and want to become one, pay your employees accordingly
I will update this review when things change.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The direct colleagues and supervisors are very nice, but there is a lot of pressure and top down management that let the atmosphere drop to zero
Kommunikation
You better get invited to someone in the correct Slack channel or you won't know crucial things
Work-Life-Balance
Work from home is no problem and working part time is possible
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Direct supervisors are nice, but the higher management does top down management, deadlines get set randomly and without asking the people that actually do the work and destroying the agile culture step by step
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
There was a Head of Diversity and Inclusion (he seems to be gone now) and a Gender Balance Network, but nothing happened until now. For example: Transpeople are not able to change their name for the mail or in all chat tools.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
You get a free public transport ticket and bonus to the retirement provision but the salary is mediocre at best. If you are not really good at negotiation, it is low
Image
You are working for a Axel Springer, a company that owns newspapers that spread hatred and prejudice
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There are some offers for further training, but you don't have time to use them, because you drown in work
