Weak HR, little prospect for working students

Give HR clear deadlines for Arbeitszeugnisse and answer status requests. Offer working students a transparent route into permanent roles. Give former employees a personal contact when they apply again.

I think HR is poorly organized. My Arbeitszeugnis was first issued with a clearly below-average assessment, although my manager had told me to expect an excellent one on my last day. Large parts of my actual tasks were missing. Fixing it took several months, and my emails asking for updates were either ignored or answered without any useful information. The corrected version eventually fixed the assessment, but it still left out tasks I had done.

Pay for working students is below what comparable employers in the region offer.

Karriere/Weiterbildung
Working students are hired in large numbers for substantial tasks, and to my knowledge only very few are ever offered a permanent position. There is no visible path from working student to employee. After leaving, I applied for several roles that matched my profile and received rejections within a few days, with no personal feedback. I assume this happened at HR level, before anyone from the department looked at them.
The work is monotonous and offers limited learning opportunities after the first period.
