Thank you very much for leaving your open and honest review — we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.

We would first of all like to thank you for your positive comments regarding our work-life balance, and are happy to hear that that you had a great experience with your supervisor and fellow colleagues in Product and Development. You did, however, mention that you didn’t have that much contact with other departments, and that you felt isolated from the rest of the company being in a separate office. This is something that we are fully aware of, and in recent times we have introduced several initiatives to bridge the gap between the two buildings, as well as continue to plan for the future setup of the InterNations offices.

With regards to long or unnecessary meetings, this is also something that we have tackled last year. Several of our team members from all different positions worked very hard on our “Meeting Culture” initiative, which has already produced some very positive results company-wide. Many feel that there are less meetings, and that there is much more structure and purpose to the ones that now take place — not to mention that we recently replaced all of our coffee machines so we can now also enjoy our new-found love of coffee in them!

Finally, we would love to address the topic of social awareness. You are absolutely correct that in previous years, InterNations was not doing enough to reduce people’s awareness of what’s happening to our planet, but also to reduce our own carbon and plastic footprints. This has thankfully changed with the introduction of our “Sustainability – Responsibility – Impact” initiative. We are now working tirelessly to ensure that we are not only a carbon neutral company by the end of 2020, but that all team members are provided with alternative ideas and resources in order to ensure an eco-friendly work environment for years to come.
