Great mix of people across many countries. Lots of passion and momentum. Flat hierarchy, people take ownership, and teamwork is strong. Startup vibe, but with projects that have real industry impact.
Toxic atmosphere, directors and managers are disinterested for workers and the company. Only the HR manager is trying to raise the rank of the company, but unsuccessfully.
Love the ownership of tasks given to working students. No micro management from the team.
Also appreciate the flexible work culture and work life balance
I am very impressed with how Ionity operate as an employer - great collaboration, a solid work environment and I LOVE the new office
Nothing - very solid employer, really engaging work and I feel like i'm making a difference
Full remote work was supported without issues
Diverse and international team culture
Very LGBTQ+ inclusive, open-minded environment
Modern office spaces and regular company events
Young, dynamic colleagues with a lot of energy
Solid technical setup for remote work
Key discussions often happen informally in the office – remote staff easily miss out
Middle management often fails to communicate internally
Still calling itself a “start-up” after years, in my opinion mainly to justify lack of structure
Following leadership changes, high turnover and internal uncertainty
No fixed desks – daily desk booking reduces team cohesion
Very little strategic exchange in central departments
This review reflects my personal experience and opinion at the time of employment.
Generally friendly and modern, but turbulent due to frequent leadership changes and resignations.
Very good. Remote setup allows for flexible hours and autonomy. However, responsibility is fully on the employee.
Yes, sells green power to customers
No clear development paths – especially in staff departments. Depends heavily on team and direct manager.
Welcoming, respectful atmosphere among colleagues – though remote collaboration can feel distant
Workforce is heavily under 50. Older colleagues might feel a bit out of place culturally.
Leadership tended to operate internally and locally – remote staff often left out unless proactively speaking up - but depents on Manager
Modern tech setup, flexible work – but desk-sharing policy creates a lack of belonging and identity. No personal workspace (in office)
Fair and market-conform. Nothing outstanding, but not below standard either.
Excellent. Diversity and LGBTQ+ inclusion are truly lived. International team, no signs of discrimination.
Leadership tended to operate internally and locally – remote staff often left out unless proactively speaking up.
Total flexibility in terms of location and working hours. No micromanagement. Overtime is not mandatory unless it is absolutely needed.
There is a yearly education budget. Internal promotion did happen in several cases while I was there.
The compensation was over average. Very little benefits. Foodji for lunch is subsidized, quality is mediocre. There used to be yearly automatic salary increases, which were denied in 2025. The bonus system is unnecesairly super complicated.
The working student pay is not bad, but the same regardless of department, performance & study years, which is laughable for master's students in high-demand fields.
Overall E-mobility is of course a plus, but I don't know how big of a priority sustainability is inside the company in day-to-day business.
Very good inside my department. Between departments I feel like it could be improved. Not rarely internal politics are an annoying obstacle. Some departments claim an unproportional amount of ressources for themselves which negatively impacts the company as a whole.
The way working students are treated is not acceptable in some cases like being excluded from company events.
Some processes and guidelines in IT & HR could be improved. All provided hardware is good. Mac / Windows both possible. Office space is sparse and you have to book in advance. No personal desks. Likely to move office soon tough.
The new management clearly puts effort into better internal communication. However I feel it is unfortunately often without much substance or concrete information.
Trust and non toxic culture
What I wrote above
Salary is on the lower level, and does not reflect the tasks and workload. No foreseeable career growth, no raises although it was communicated during the hiring process. Not a lot of benefits, not very international, not an English first company, no ability to work outside the EU. Some mentorship for career development would be nice.
Flexibility to work from home, awesome colleagues to work with
Nothing bad I could think of
Recognize teams or individual for star performers
Introduce more perks
Assign mentors to help career progression for younger colleagues
Real flexible working conditions, great colleagues
Slow decision making has proved very costly in the past
Better definition of responsibilities across departments, acountability for result of tasks. More substance and fewer consultants.
Mostly very pleasant, everybody knows everyone and feels comfortable to reach out.
Strong shareholder names and gut reputation on its own
Home office, flexible working hours, working from EU countries possible.
Possible to take trainings. Career shifts within the company limited but exist.
Good fix salary and variable bonus.
Think before you print is real
Indeed, working among friends
The colleagues are overall very young; everyone is treated with respect regardless of age.
In general very respectful
Beautiful renovated office and modern equipment.
Official channels via team groups, townhalls, JFX. As the company is growing more corporate jargon and flair introduced.
Few women in leadership, few non german managers.
Dynamic sector with a lot of change and thus some change in the tasks as well.
So verdient kununu Geld.
