The PositionStrategic Sourcing for pipeline products necessitates more and more interdisciplinary collaboration. 
In today's context, solutions often encompass a mixture of services and materials throughout the product lifecycle, involving different categories within a traditional market segmentation. The main focus of this role is to handle cross-category Sourcing project tasks within the product lifecycle, while working closely with Development, Operations, and Sourcing.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • You take on accountability for comprehensive Project Management for assigned projects and/or products to manage & ensure oversight on Sourcing related X-Category topics.
  • In your role as the Sourcing Lead, you are at the forefront of interactions with the Innovation Unit and Operations, taking charge of cross-category and cross-functional teams that include experienced Sourcing Category Managers.
  • In addition, you will be in charge of preparing decisions and reports for cross-functional and cross-divisional committees.
  • You define, delegate and monitor tasks related to agreed project deliverables for all project relevant categories (such as supplier selection, commercial framework set-up, contract negotiations, etc.)
  • In conclusion, you verify that all allocated activities conform to company SOPs and external legal/regulatory requirements while staying informed about current and future Sourcing standards and processes.
 As Senior Sourcing X-Category Project Manager, you will also take on the following tasks: 
  • You take on the technical management of complex projects, sometimes with a high level of influence within the entire organization and visibility vis-à-vis senior management.

Requirements

  • Master of Science ideally in industrial engineering, business administration or a technical/pharmaceutical degree with a supplement in business administration
  • Relevant experience in strategic sourcing function, ideally in an innovative pharmaceutical, chemical or biopharmaceutical company 
  • Extensive experience in guiding complex projects that involve CMC development and product launch, encompassing workshop facilitation and stakeholder management.
  • Solution- and compromise-oriented mindset for mediation of conflicting goals
 In addition, as Senior Sourcing X-Category Project Manager: 
  • Several years of applicable work experience in a pharmaceutical company
  • Great enthusiasm for building business connections
 Recruitment process:
