We are looking for you, located in Vienna or optionally Austria-wide (Home Office) as a

R&D Application Specialist (m/f/d)

Your tasks are :

  • Deep Technical Investigation: Analyzing and solving highly complex product issues that have been escalated from support team, often requiring an in-depth understanding of the product’s architecture and source code.

  • Custom Solutions: Creating custom solutions or workarounds for problems that cannot be solved through standard support procedures, often involving advanced coding or system modifications.

  • Bug Fixes and Patching: Developing code patches or updates to fix software bugs that are too intricate for the lower support tiers to handle.

  • Collaboration with R&D Team Members: Working closely with development and engineering teams to communicate product issues and feedback that require their attention, potentially influencing future product development.

  • Customer Liaison: Directly liaising with key customers, particularly for bespoke or highly technical products, to provide personalized high-level technical support and to build strong customer relationships.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Documenting complex issues and their resolutions to expand the knowledge base for use by other support tiers, as well as training lower-level support staff on technical issues.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously improving the support process by developing new tools, scripts, or methods to enhance troubleshooting capabilities.

You’ll bring in :

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science OR corresponding professional experience, ideally paired with medical knowledge

  • Java, Java EE, REST API, SQL

  • HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript or JavaScript

  • Curiosity for new technologies, frameworks and up-to-date methodologies in software development

  • Decent English and German skills

The minimum salary for this position is 45.000 € gross per year (38.5 working hours) according to the IT-collective agreement, an overpayment plus bonus arrangement depending on qualification/experience is self-evident for us.
