In the context of a newly created function we are currently looking for a Lead SAS-Engineer (m/f/d) for an international group with focus on IT services in Düsseldorf.

Your potential tasks:

In the role Lead SAS-Engineer (m/f/d), an exciting portfolio of tasks would await you due to the mix of operational and conceptual activities.

  • Responsible for various IT systems that are based on SAS technology and serve to provide data in connection with the corresponding financial statements
  • Lead for a services hub responsible for software development (no need to code in depth yourself)
  • Independently analyze functional requirements and technical procedures
  • Create both functional and technical high-level and detailed concepts
  • Responsible participation in projects of various sizes
  • Technical operation and application support are part of the responsibilities as well
  • Development, testing, and technical and functional implementation of various IT systems
  • Use of modern methods, techniques and processes

What you bring to the table:

Ideally, you already bring several years of experience in the SAS environment.

  • Degree with a focus on IT, software, mathematics or a comparable qualification
  • Mathematical or quantitative knowledge as well as of IFRS(17)/ Solvency II would be an advantage
  • Ideally you have first or several years of professional experience in an insurance or consulting company
  • Affinity for numbers, analytical and conceptual strength round off your profile
