There are still some minor process hiccups. The startup spirit shows here and there, but things have already improved a lot this year. More automation and streamlined workflows would make a big difference.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The atmosphere is excellent: collaborative, supportive and genuinely inspiring. Everyone pulls in the same direction and there's real room for growth. Hierarchies are flat and even the CXOs and VPs are still hands-on. Our founder and CEO might be the first one I've ever had who actually knows my name.

Work-Life-Balance
I work fully remote with flexible hours. If you need to go to a doctor's appointment or take a longer lunch break, you just let your team know. No problem yet. Nobody bothers you with "I don't want to disturb you, but…" emails after hours. People here are treated like adults, and that trust goes both ways.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Every employee has access to a dedicated learning budget. Personally, I'm in regular exchange with my manager about where I see myself and how I want to grow. We work on that together. If you perform well and take ownership of your growth, you can progress quite far here in a realistic time frame.

There’s always room for more, sure, but I earn well. There are also corporate benefits like pension funds, Urban Sports Club discounts, public transport subsidies for our colleagues in Berlin and various partner discounts.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Lingoda takes social responsibility seriously, not just in terms of education access, but also employee wellbeing. We work with nilo.health, which gives us access to mental health resources and webinars. The recent Nilo Health Week offered several great sessions on personal and professional wellbeing. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are also actively promoted, not just talked about.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
At least in my area, and even across departments, the collaboration is outstanding. Honestly, one of the best things about working at Lingoda. I enjoy being part of this team, as everyone is open, kind and incredibly supportive.

There aren't that many older colleagues, but those who are here are treated just like everyone else. And the ones who've been around for a while are super helpful and often share great insights and stories from the early days. :-D
Vorgesetztenverhalten
No complaints at all. My manager and I are in close contact, and whenever I need support, I get it immediately. No question is too stupid, no idea too small. If something's missing, my manager takes care of it. You can speak openly here and I genuinely feel seen, heard and valued. At previous employers, I sometimes felt like I should be grateful just to have the job. Here, I've been told that they're glad to have me. That of course makes a difference.
Arbeitsbedingungen
For me, it's ideal: 100% remote. Of course, that requires discipline and self-organization, but the flexibility and freedom are worth it. I've never felt micromanaged or distrusted when working from home. It's a setup built on trust, and it works.
Kommunikation
Communication works really well. We use Slack and all relevant updates are shared quickly across channels. There are regular company huddles and update calls that are actually efficient! No endless meetings with irrelevant information that could've been an email. Everything feels transparent and on equal footing.
Gleichberechtigung
We're a very international team. It doesn't matter where you're from, what your skin color, sexual orientation, gender identity or beliefs are, everyone is treated with the same respect. Also: There are also quite a few women in senior leadership roles.
Interessante Aufgaben
In my team, we help international healthcare professionals build their future in Germany by improving their language skills. Honestly, I can hardly think of a more meaningful task than helping people move forward in their lives. But of course there is a routine and not every day is super adventurous.
