Great on the surface - toxic underneath
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
If you’re looking for a company that talks a lot about culture, values, and openness - this one has the branding figured out. Behind the polished image is a workplace where decisions are made quietly, feedback is vague or delayed, and even strong performance can be dismissed without warning.
I joined with high hopes, drawn to the company’s values of openness, feedback, and care. What I experienced instead was a culture where feedback is vague, communication is indirect, and important decisions are made behind closed doors. Despite delivering results and actively seeking improvement, I was let go two days before the end of probation - without warning, without a conversation, and not by my own manager. Period. This speaks volumes about how people are actually treated.
I delivered strong results and regularly asked my manager for feedback -each time reassured that everything was on track and there was “nothing to worry about.” Then, just two days before the end of my probation, I was abruptly let go - with no prior warning, no constructive feedback, and not even by my own manager. She had gone on holiday, quietly stepping aside while the decision was carried out behind my back. The news was delivered by the "VP of People and Culture" who publicly promotes psychological safety and the company’s values. There was no context, no transparency, and no opportunity for dialogue - just a quick, controlled update. My team, HR/Talent Acquisition, who I had worked with daily, said nothing and walked me to the door under the pretense of “a team meeting.”
Throughout my time there, I had no reason to believe anything was off-track. Feedback was vague or absent, and meaningful conversations- which I repeatedly initiated - were avoided. The timing of the dismissal, just before the end of my probation period, raises serious ethical questions. They tried to avoid accountability and potential legal obligation.
It’s worth noting that they also flag honest, critical reviews, putting significant effort into manipulating their public image.
Don't apply and believe the polished messaging they put out. My experience was not the only case- sudden and poorly handled layoffs are ongoing patterns there. If this is how HR operates, it says everything you need to know about the company.
