The company wants to be a lot of things, but my impression is that it is a smoke screen.

The company is in the making and maybe it eventually will be mature enough. But right now it looks like the worst combination of a large corporation and a startup. They want to be innovative agile etc., but you cannot force these things. The posed data science challenge was really bad, made me wonder about the overall quality of the data science department. There are certainly some false positives there. The market is good, do not waste your time and talent for this company. On the other hand, I am sure the job is secure and the pay is good. But do not expect to grow there or to even have an impact. Keep in mind that this company has only the mother company as a customer. Thus it is not operating in the market. It is more like an out-sourced R&D department and that of questionable quality. And well the product is not that exciting anyway. And who knows what is left of the mother company once Tesla takes over the world.
