Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

They are not as strict as higher level hotels which can be quite good if you are new to industry and/or country. Language level requirements is also quite low

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

They dont care.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Try and give some better salary/benefits and do not take even fruits away from personel in order to open new hotels.

Image

Coworkes speak bad for the company. Especially the last year that they are expanding, they push us more and taking things from us instead of giving us.

Work-Life-Balance

No work life balance. You can get 3 night shifts, 1 day off and then morning shifts in the same week. Many people are burned out or highly fatigued.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

You ask for the criteria, and they are not certain. Better language skils, want to see you try more etc.

Gehalt/Benefits

Salary is one of the lowest in the industry. Benefits again are horrible. No job ticket, no gym membership, no bonus, no Christmas bonus, no tips accepted with card (card only hotels with cash only tips...)

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

they say that they try to be environmentally friendly. Still using normal print paper, plastic wrap every day in the kitchen items instead of containers and other things that they should improve.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Depends on the colleague of course but most of the colleagues are nice and treat each other with respect besides the issues from the top.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There are some older colleagues, so i do not see that they discriminate much but unsure how many applications of people over 40 they receive for reception/kitchen.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

In my hotel, management is better than the average of the company in Berlin. Still, lacking a lot in communication and the people management is horrendus. When we confront them, they speak as if every answer comes from training from HQ.

Arbeitsbedingungen

We have stools. This would be enough in some hotels, as many do not even offer this. But, lighting is not that good, ventilation in the whole hotel often is not working correct (35c with no cooling system is not a fun time to work), reception desk too big so you have to stretch every time to show things to get/give keys. Stools not ergonomic. Nice computers with touch screen.

Kommunikation

Management does not know how to communicate with front desk. No updates, info etc of what is happening in the company, no clear explanation of why raises are not given, of why benefits are getting cut etc.

Gleichberechtigung

Well, most of the supervisors i know are women, so there is maybe reverse equality, where men do not get enough chances for promotion. Still it is nice to see that they do not disadvantage women, even though they overdo it. Hopefully they will balance it out.

Interessante Aufgaben

You can do your own projects, as they allow you to have enough freedom for this. They do not micromanage so much. Still tasks are getting overwhelming over the years as they take tasks from other departments and throw them to reception without questioning our capacity.
