Gets worse as more Axel Springer (owner) decides for us.

Dear colleague,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you value the free lunch, beverages, and the strong sense of teamwork at Bonial. These are indeed important parts of our culture.

At the same time, we take your concerns very seriously. We understand that the move towards an Office First approach has been a significant change, especially after several years of productive remote work. The decision was made with the goal of fostering stronger collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange, which we believe are best supported through more in-person interaction. That said, we know this transition isn’t easy, and we want to continue listening to our colleagues to find ways to balance flexibility with collaboration.

On topics like communication, leadership decisions, and diversity: we recognize the areas where you feel we have fallen short, and we are committed to improving. Gender-balanced leadership, transparency, and employee well-being remain key priorities for us, and we continue to invest in initiatives that support these values. Our efforts have also proven to be successful, such as having doubled the number of female leads over the past five years.

We’d be happy to hear speak more. If you like, you are more than welcome to share further feedback with us via wecare@bonial.com or through our Employee Engagement Survey, which is currently running. Or, of course, we can always meet for a coffee in the office.

Speak soon and thank you again,
Your Employer Branding Team
