My time at Ommax was filled with invaluable learning experiences that have proven themselves handy at every job thereafter. Employees are encouraged to explore new ideas and enhance their skills independently. Many times this happens out of a lack of time of responsible managers. But you learn to acquire knowledge and skills fast and on your own. Although extremely challenging and stressful at times, this aspect of the job was highly rewarding and contributed significantly to my professional growth. One of the highlights of working at Ommax was the chance to collaborate with some truly amazing colleagues. The team spirit makes this workplace extremely special and played a huge role in staying with the company for several years. I found some lasting friendships at Ommax and I am very grateful for that. Overall, the people at Ommax are very smart, driven and (mostly) fun to be around. Especially at the beginning of your career this environment can really shape your work ethic and standards in a very positive way. If you want to learn and grow (fast) in an international environment, Ommax is a great address!

Despite the positive aspects, a significant challenge faced by many, including myself, was the issue of work-life balance. The demanding nature of the job often led to long hours and work that impacted my personal life and health immensely. "Solutions" were often just quick fixes and there were weeks and months were leaving at 6 was a highlight. There are employees who celebrate the "consulting lifestyle" and chose to stay at the office daily until 10pm and later (LOL). As I enjoy a private life, taking care of my health and getting enough sleep, I did not enjoy this way of working at all. Several people in my environment, including myself, suffered or are suffering health problems that can be traced backed to the immense load of stress that you are exposed to and expected to handle. If you are a person who enjoys a private life - your best bet is to know what you are signing up for, saying "no" more often and leave when you have made the necessary experiences. If you love working, see your employer as your "family" and don't have any hobbies or partners that require your attention, there is a bright future ahead of you at Ommax!
