Nothing major to report. Like any growing company, processes are always evolving, but the core foundation is solid.
Feedback, both positive and critical, are encouraged and supported
The team is highly collaborative and supportive. Everyone is willing to jump in and help out when needed.
Leadership are incredibly approachable and leads by example. They actively listen to the team and offer great support.
The transparency at Orbem is incredible.
Even in administration, the work is never boring. There is a great mix of routine tasks and dynamic projects.
I truly love working at Orbem. The leadership team is incredibly inspirational; they don’t just talk about their values, they live by them every day. Transparency is a core part of how the company operates, which builds a lot of trust across the team. It’s rare to find a place where everyone is so genuinely aligned toward a common purpose. If you're looking for a company that leads with integrity, Orbem is it.
Wish they were more open to remote team members, but I understand many people need to work with hardware onsite.
No suggestions.

There is nothing bad I can say about Orbem.
Orbem listens to what people have to say and work in ensuring things around the workplace are improved.
Excellent working atmosphere, where people are friendly, helpful, and professional.
In general, people are proud to work at Orbem.
Flexible working hours, along with work-from-home opportunities which allow you to balance work and life.
Orbem is lhaving exponential growth and although career paths aren't clear, there is a lot of growth opportunity at the moment.

Friendly, professional, welcoming, very high quality interactions.
Comfortable, open space. Office has collaborative areas and quiet areas for those who need to focus more. Personal space to relax, kitchen with delicious food options, nearby coffee shop.
Valuable quarterly events to align on goals.
Work is exciting with lots of opportunities to build new things, and excel your career.
The open feedback culture, the straight-forward communication and the identification of everybody with their tasks. Furthermore, the supervisor's enabling behaviour and the high trust and responsibility one gets, also as a student.
The lack of office space once more team members go back to onsite working.
The need for office space is growing continuously with the team growing. As soon as onsite working becomes more usual again, more space will definitely be needed. Also, development-heavy positions should always get company-owned hardware (e.g. laptop).
A feedback-oriented atmosphere makes coworking very easy and productive, always looking to aim for the best for the company, completely leaving out work politics.
The image of the company is very positive through its vision of supporting the people and the planet. This is also lived exactly this way within the company, showing transparency and real commitment to this vision.
There is always time and consideration to talk about the situation one is currently in.
It is always possible to talk about the current responsibilities and openly discuss in which direction one wants to develop.
The salary is above-average for Munich working students, but there are surely (bigger) companies where the salary is higher when having a technical background.
It is in the DNA of the company to care about social and environmental issues. You will find this mindset in every employee you meet.
Through the open communication and feedback culture, also paired with events organized by the company, the team grows together strongly, also across hierarchies.
Older colleagues are an important part of the company, using their expertise to ensure a wholesome perspective on the challenges the company faces.
Rather than supervising, the feeling is more of enabling the employees to achieve their tasks and grow with them, reaching out a supportive hand when it is necessary.
In current times, home-office is strongly encouraged. There is a small office room for the company solely, with some more workplaces in a shared office room with other start-ups. Be prepared to use your own laptop if you are a student. The offered software solutions and workstations have high standards.
Direct and straight-forward communication contributing to a healthy team work.
Counting 7 nationalities, no feeling of discrimination or sexism has ever risen.
Students get early and high responsibility for interesting tasks, living the company's value of task ownership. This makes working at Orbem very exciting!
Communication inside the company is great, it makes you feel like a family member.
Orbem is a startup, for the good and the bad.
It would be nice to have our company space with access to a sports facility.
I always feel comfortable working at Orbem and collaborating with other colleagues. In general, I appreciate the respectful sense of humor that smooth interaction and brings good vibes to the daily work.
I have a high opinion of Orbem. We are developing high-tech technology and we do it in a good collaborative environment.
At Orbem everyone owns their own work. We get our list of tasks every sprint, and if you think it is too much load there is room for changes. It is our responsibility to organize it in the way it works best for us, which is quite useful working remotely. In general, vacation periods are very flexible.
Besides the clear career paths, everyone has personal OKRs to guide their personal development. Most importantly, the company is growing what is openning opportunities.
All the employees get company participation along with their salaries when they enter the company. I personally consider it fair given that Orbem is a startup company. The promotion criteria are clear and have been communicated internally together with salary and participation increments.
The technology that we are creating aims to create a sustainable world.
It is part of the corporate culture to communicate respectfully, openly, and transparently. I feel that whenever I need extra support from a colleague they are always willing to give me a hand, so I do the same with the colleagues.
Senior colleagues are very supportive and you can learn a big deal from them.
Communication with the managers is also open and transparent, and they are reachable most of the time. In general, goals are ambitious but they are discussed with the team following Agile practices. Because we participate in the yearly and quarterly definitions of goals, I can tell that employees have a big saying in the decision-making process.
There is good IT support that reacts on time to solve problems. Besides, computers and workstations are powerful and accessible, also cloud resources. As a startup, Orbem offices are shared with other companies, and that limits the access to meeting rooms, although it creates a nice atmosphere for innovation. There are plans to move to a private space by the end of 2021.
The organization at Orbem is mostly flat and managers are accessible and open to discuss any matter. Besides, we have regular updates on the progress in those areas that are less visible. The information flows to the point that the teams are involved in the definition of yearly and quarterly goals.
Career paths and compensations for each position are transparently communicated so nobody can be discriminated against. Furthermore, there are 7 nationalities in the company, including the cofounders coming each from a different country.
Part of the corporate culture is to have total ownership of the tasks. This means that you make your own decisions. Of course, you are expected to discuss them with the rest of the team and have a common vision of the project.
Orbem combines a strong sense of purpose with cutting-edge technology and a fun, dynamic working environment where everyone can contribute and grow.
Own company location with space to further grow is becoming more and more relevant.
Dynamic, energizing, and purpose-driven!
Orbem has been able to achieve a very positive image in the Munich startup ecosystem because the company is working on cutting-edge technology with the potential for global impact. This image is fully aligned with daily company activities.
Flexibility is the norm: flexible working hours, home-office, and possibility to arrange workload around private life (and not the other way around).
Established career plans, with opportunity for personal & professional growth.
Competitive salaries and share compensation for every single team member.
This is the company's core ideology and it is ingrained in everything the company does.
Team feeling in every step of the process.
We have colleagues from multiple age ranges, all who get along and work together to achieve a common purpose.
Strive to include all team members in decision making.
All team members receive the required equipment to do their work. Currently in shared working environment.
Transparent communication: everybody has a voice and the entire team is working together to achieve a common purpose.
Founding team includes a female member. All members receive equal pay and career opportunities, irrespective of gender, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation. Currently 7 nationalities in 13 team members.
Orbem is building cutting-edge technology, and is at the forefront of unleashing AI-powered imaging for everything and everyone.

It is generally a happy place to work. Because of flat hierarchy, any suggestion gets immediate attention
The company does not lie about itself and whatever you see on the web is exactly what the company is. There is absolute transparency in this regard
Generally, higher management ensures that this balance is specially taken care very well. During the lockdown, the company was very considerate of the people having kids at home, for example.
The company is very supportive of your career and personal growth. In fact, they had offered me the option to convert my job into a PhD topic as well :)
The salary is a notch above the market standards and virtual stock options are also available.
This is the core ideology of the company itself. The company strives its best to be as sustainable as possible.
The average age of the employees is about 23 years. Everyone is super-chill and hustlers. You do not see any work politics at all and everyone is happy to help if you are facing some issue.
The average age of employees is less than 25 years. So, everyone is quite considerate for others. Everyone is open to listen
Employees are always involved in almost all of the decisions of the management, especially in the annual and quarterly OKRs. The company has pretty much a flat hierarchy and everyone is considered equal not just on paper but it is reflected in EVERY meeting.
At the moment, the company uses a shared working space. So, the facilities are limited. But soon, there are plans to shift to a new office of our own and things will improve for sure.
The higher management has a transparency policy where everyone if kept in the loop about all the details
The company is a melting pot of various cultures. Founders themselves come from Greece, Mexico and Spain. For a small company, we already have people from 8+ nations already. There are absolutely no concerns about your race, gender, sexual orientation, political stance etc.
The company is making groundbreaking innovations in terms of a Fast, Cheap and Simple MRI machine. The company also wants to bring cutting edge imaging technologies to everyone. The cutting edge tech stack and state of the art research on deep learning only make it more interesting.
