Quo Vadis? -> Down
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Only the employees! The honest and good colleagues.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Lack of transparency; dishonesty
And that employees are gradually being burned out, with no regard for losses and only an eye on profit.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Be honest with your employees! Communicate openly and promptly!
Many employees have already resigned internally and are only staying because they value their colleagues and want to support them. If this continues, the "old" knowledge will soon be lost.
Show your employees appreciation, be there for them, and listen to them!
Listen to your customers and ask them what they think would make the product better, then take care of it. Instead of listening to the pipe dreams of individual marketing colleagues.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The only atmosphere that still exists is the one maintained by the employees. Each team tries as best it can to motivate and encourage each other, although everyone knows that the "family" of the past simply no longer exists. Individual departments work against each other, as the new structures effectively force them to do so.
Image
It has suffered greatly, the price is high, and the performance has not changed. They throw around buzzwords (AI, machine learning, etc.) that will not be in the product even in five years. Marketing is currently doing its own thing to reduce credibility.
Work-Life-Balance
No longer exists. 10+ meetings per day is normal. Working hours shifted to the evening to align with US colleagues.
You often spend all day dealing with issues, especially as a manager.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There are no career paths. But that has always been a problem. Continuing education is also seen as a cost factor, and the company tends to be cautious.
Gehalt/Benefits
On average, the company prefers to hire expensive new colleagues rather than pay experienced ones better. This means that the "brain drain" is very high. Decisions take forever and do not feel like people are valued.
Key positions are "distributed" rather than filled with new people. After all, every dollar that improves the balance sheet is welcome.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
There is a "greenwashing" day when you can get involved in social causes. Otherwise, everything is gone. What the company used to stand for is gone.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Your own team is often the only reason to stay at a company. These people are the reason you still go to work and try to help each other. When the first one leaves, that's when things start to crumble. Unfortunately, even the best colleagues cannot protect you from burnout or inner resignation.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
When colleagues with over 8-10 years of service leave, that says it all. The conditions become such that they can no longer tolerate them.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
They gradually break away. At least the good ones do. More and more "managers" are being hired, and sometimes you wonder where all the "normal" employees are.
There are managers who care about their employees and who push themselves to the limits of their health. But how long will they keep doing that? Some of them have already left because they can no longer support the company.
Sometimes you don't see your boss for three weeks. Appointments with the owners are always more important than building relationships with employees.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The facilities are good, both technically and in terms of the option to work from home. That's one of the reasons why colleagues are still here—they have almost 100% flexibility to work from home.
Kommunikation
There is no communication anymore. Information is spread through the grapevine and "that's just the way it is now." Communication is definitely not open. If you're lucky, you know colleagues who have a little more insight and can tell you who will be leaving the company next.
Gleichberechtigung
Yes, you could say that it exists. At least between the sexes. Everyone is treated equally....
Interessante Aufgaben
There are interesting tasks, but there is no longer any opportunity to shape them yourself. Many tasks are assigned and then you are informed that they need to be completed "as soon as possible." Of course, without putting the other "important" tasks on hold.
And in between, a new system is simply introduced that a manager has just "bought in" on a whim.
