A Company That Lost Its Direction
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
There is now a juice dispenser with fresh fruit juices in the office. It is a small improvement, but it feels more symbolic than meaningful in the current environment
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
There are many issues that need attention. For example, on the office terrace, pigeons often get stuck in the netting, and no one takes responsibility for solving it. This is unfortunately representative of how problems are handled.
The overall workload is high and continues to increase because many colleagues have left and open positions are not being filled. Promised benefits such as a development budget or flexible remote work options were removed without real explanation.
At the same time, new measures like Wi-Fi tracking in the office were introduced to monitor attendance. This creates a clear message of control instead of trust.
It is disappointing to see how much the company has changed. Personio once stood for openness, growth, and people-first values. Today, it feels like those priorities have been replaced by cost-cutting and pressure.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The atmosphere in the company has become tense and uncertain. Many employees are concerned about job security and ongoing restructuring. The sense of trust and stability that once existed is no longer there. People are cautious, and motivation is declining.
Image
The company’s external image remains impressive. Marketing creates a strong brand, but the reality inside the company does not match what is being advertised. That applies both to the employer image and to the product itself.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Professional growth depends heavily on internal networking. Those who have strong personal connections receive opportunities and advantages that others do not. Merit and performance alone rarely make a difference anymore.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
The team spirit remains strong, but mostly because people rely on each other to get through the situation. The shared feeling of insecurity has created solidarity. Without this mutual support, everyday work would be very difficult.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
There is nothing to describe here, simply because there are almost no older colleagues. That probably says enough.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Internal career development is extremely difficult. Moving from Customer Support to the Account Management team, even after several years of solid performance, is almost impossible. Leadership decisions often seem disconnected from the daily reality of employees. The CEO has never successfully led a company before but continues to manage Personio as if experience and adaptation were optional. After almost ten years, the direction of the company feels increasingly misguided.
Gehalt/Benefits
The salary is acceptable and competitive within the market. It is one of the few aspects that still feels consistent and reliable.
Gleichberechtigung
Equality and fairness are strong in communication, but weak in practice. Many opportunities depend on personal visibility or internal relationships rather than on actual performance. The culture feels selective, not inclusive.
