Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Although home office is not always encouraged and decisions full of nepotism, it was possible during quickly if you want to and have a good reason for it.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

See Verbesserungsvorschläge. All of that is really bad. I want to mention especially the communication of leadership and their behavior. It is cringeworthy and people left the company because of it. Not because of the company itself, but because of the behavior and attitude of leadership and their communication.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Leadership should stop to get involved in everything, hire a professional manager or management team, take change management classes, take business school classes, take Menschenführungs classes, learn to communicate better, stop to mimic the way the clients speak when talking to your own people, invest in your people, retain people, offer better pay and benefits, empower people, trust people, stop spreading information on other people without their knowledge.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Long hours, overtime and constant project work are expected. Projects have tight deadlines and budgets and therefore it is constantly stressful. Especially when working on 4-5 new projects daily and having the leadership team showing no appreciation and demotivating people with their "client first" attitude. Because of this, many people feel pressured into working extra and demotivated. The atmosphere causes people to burnout fast.

Kommunikation

By far the worst out of all companies I got to know. Especially because leadership lives in a parallel world where they think they are doing a good job. They talk to their own people like they talk to clients. Because everything is centralized and has to go through leadership, they never pay attention to the communication and frequently miss the point. Generic, pre-written scripts are often read at meetings. Also, leadership does not believe that people can communicate with clients by themselves.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Among "lower ranks" ok but no one will team up and do something about the toxic company culture. Most people prefer to complain in the background.

Work-Life-Balance

I would like to rank 0 stars. Long hours are expected and even the working hours are longer than your weekly contract hours. Fewer vacation days and less benefits. Home office is possible but case by case. Leadership actually believes that working until 8pm or 9pm is normal and "not that bad".

Vorgesetztenverhalten

1 star is for project leaders, who are trying very hard to make a difference. 0 stars is for leadership. Leadership likes to talk behind the back of others and even disclose personal information and gossip. Leadership is also very chaotic and disorganized but use "changes" as an excuse for their mistakes. At times, leadership simply does not give a reason or reserves the right not to answer. It is rare to get a definite decision from leadership as well. Many times leadership is not even willing to discuss a topic or uses "compliance" as excuses.

Interessante Aufgaben

There are a lot of interesting business topics that you can learn and read about during project work. However, it will become repetitive very fast. Depending on the team, the work is similar to a call center or just googling stuff for many hours per day and copy pasting.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

No older colleagues. I guess for a reason, because people will leave soon. This is not a long-term place.

Arbeitsbedingungen

In the office it is ok. Nothing special but everything works, more or less. The extra star is for the central location and nice few of the city and somewhat modern office space.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Never heard that the company is doing anything in this regard.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

You are paid too little for the degree of responsibility. The difference of salary between entry level and project manager positions is not so great. Benefits, e.g. Betriebliche Altersvorsorge are not offered unless asked for. Bildungsurlaub is not discussed and not mentioned and people have been instructed not to mention it.

The company thinks that it is swimming with the big fish. However it is just a small service provider for clients and the bottom end of the value chain.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

There are a lot of on the job trainings and some trainings are actually useful for long-term development, e.g. communication skill trainings. There are no workshops and most trainings simple and don't teach any useful skills for next career steps. The hierarchy is very flat, but leadership still wants to be part of everything. it is pure chaos and in the chaos you cannot grow long-term.
