Toxic working atmosphere, sect-like thinking of the management

Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The company itself is great. This feedback is only aimed at the hotels and management in Nuremberg.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Management should have more control over what happens IN the hotels. Don't rely on them always saying that everything is suuuupper. Take the high fluctuation rate in hotels seriously and look for reasons.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Overall working atmosphere oppressive and spiteful. Lots of gossip between employees, but also within management. Exclusion of individual employees. Everything is fine in the front, but from behind the knife is stuck in your back.

Kommunikation

Really very good, very professional within the company. There is virtually no communication between Multisite and normal employees. She only comes to the hotel to smoke and talk with selected people and otherwise nobody knows where she is.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Some employees get on well with each other, but on the whole there is no real team spirit. If someone is not there, they are talked about badly. Management tries to portray it as "the best team" and "family" but that's ridiculous and everyone knows it.

Work-Life-Balance

Whatsapp terror after work and on days off, very high sickness rate, which is why you constantly have to cover all kinds of shifts. Multiside explicitly does not want any separation between private and professional life, as Premier Inn is our life. We are also hypocritically asked what we are planning to do on our days off so that they know whether we can always fill in. But it is sold as if she has such a great interest in us personally, which is not true. HMs are even put into shifts by her on vacation days.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

HM's great, unfortunately too little self-confidence. Can't defend themselves against multisite. She presents the working relationship as a friendship and forces it. HMs have nothing to say or decide.
So unfortunately very toxic overall. I have the feeling that this work and the environment is making me ill. She constantly tells you that you have a bad "mindset" and that your head isn't working properly. Just because you have a different opinion. At some point, you doubt yourself

Interessante Aufgaben

HMs and AHMs do TM tasks, TMs do TL tasks and TLs do management tasks. HM's in the scullery and cleaning rooms, TM's sitting in the office on their cell phones. It's a topsy-turvy world. Everyone does everything, no one is really responsible for anything. Pure chaos
You constantly have to help out in the other hotels in Nuremberg, which NOBODY wants to do

Arbeitsbedingungen

Often more than 6 or 7 days of work in a row, days off are canceled because someone is sick. Shared office without rest, no breaks. From late shift to early shift.

Salary in itself is good for the industry, but it's nowhere near enough for the working conditions and what this work does to you

People tend to associate Premier Inn with a budget chain. Most people are very positively surprised. Both guests and staff. Very professional and modern.
However, Multiside always presents Nuremberg as better than all the other hotels in the chain. It thinks that everything runs best here. Which is absolutely not true. Her OWN image is more important than that of the company

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Due to the rapidly growing chain, there are many internal positions to apply for. In the hotel, unfortunately, it depends very much on how often you go out for a smoke with management and who puts up with more.
