Everyone at PRISMA is highly qualified in their respective fields, which leads to excellent work results at a very high level. A company culture built on shared values and goals creates a truly outstanding working atmosphere.
Colleagues are incredibly supportive and always ready to help one another. There's a constant flow of information and knowledge sharing – through 1:1s, All Hands & Open Space sessions and other formats. You're always learning something new – and honestly, you can’t wait to come back to the office the next day.
Successes are celebrated together – whether at our Spring Events, multi-day offsites, the Christmas party or the weekly Wednesday Lunch. These moments also create space for more personal, friendly conversations.
Everyone at PRISMA is approachable and down to earth. The team is wonderfully diverse, with many different cultures represented. You're accepted – and even celebrated – for both your individuality and the things you share with others.
The Uniting PRISMATES format is a fantastic opportunity to connect more deeply after work and get to know each other beyond the office setting.
For me, PRISMA is still something of a “hidden champion”, even though the company already enjoys a strong reputation within the industry and plays such a crucial role in the gas market.
Despite being a relatively small company, PRISMA creates an immense amount of value – not only for the gas sector, but also through its outstanding internal culture. That’s why I would definitely count it among the top 3 employers in Leipzig.
Absolutely. As an IT/software company with employees based all across Germany, there’s no other way to make it work – and PRISMA does it exceptionally well. Some colleagues work 100% remotely, others work partially from home, and some enjoy coming into the office every day. It’s the mix that makes it work, and PRISMA finds the optimal arrangement with each individual – one that suits both sides.
There are also flexible working hours with no fixed core hours, allowing everyone to adapt their schedule to their personal needs. Temporary work from abroad is also possible – for example, colleagues from other countries can combine extended family visits with remote work.
In addition, childcare costs or daycare fees are covered or subsidized by PRISMA.
Everyone at PRISMA has access to development opportunities, supported by an annual training budget for each employee.
Further training and career development steps can be discussed openly at any time and a personalized development plan can be created together.
We have colleagues who, over the years, have had the opportunity to explore different roles and successfully transition into new areas.
Compensation is very fair – expected performance is clearly reflected in the salary.
PRISMA has long been committed to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Over the years, as I know, we've supported a variety of initiatives – including organizations such as the Johanniter, Careleaver, and the POSS Fund, among many others.
PRISMA is also sponsoring a local sports team – the USC Leipzig basketball club – as part of our commitment to the community.
This is a topic that is important to me and PRISMA take it seriously. I believe it’s essential to give back to both society and the environment, and we’re dedicated to continuing this work in 2025 with new initiatives and partnerships.
As described in the previous points, the sense of team spirit is exceptionally strong. Cross-team collaboration is actively encouraged, which strengthens the ability to think beyond the boundaries of one’s own department. Different perspectives are shared, explained, and understood.
There’s a genuine culture of mutual support – you can always ask for help, and you’ll receive it without hesitation. The collaboration is so friendly and based on trust that I wouldn't hesitate to invite PRISMAtes to my home.
As already mentioned above, there are equal opportunities. At PRISMA, colleagues of all ages work together – from working students to more experienced team members. Everyone has an equal voice.
It couldn’t be better. The leadership team is well-educated, experienced and leads in a people-centered way that is rooted in shared values and goals. They consistently act as role models for all PRISMAtes.
You’re encouraged – in the best possible way – to give your best for the organization, to think proactively, and to look beyond your own responsibilities. Tasks and expectations are communicated clearly and discussed in detail. New ideas are always welcome.
The work is collaborative and hands-on. Thanks to a culture of appreciation, trust and open communication, along with regular feedback, I feel highly motivated and empowered.
The technical equipment at PRISMA is excellent. From day one, you receive a brand-new, high-quality laptop (e.g. MacBook) along with a matching mobile phone. Large, high-resolution monitors are also provided at your desk.
The software and tools we use are seamlessly integrated, allowing for cross-functional collaboration and easy document sharing and editing across departments.
The office equipment is top-notch as well: height-adjustable desks, ergonomic and comfortable chairs and a modern, open-space layout. Glass partitions and room dividers create designated zones within the open offices – a smart setup that supports focused work while still feeling collaborative and spacious.
The offices are bright, welcoming and designed in PRISMA colors, creating a warm and professional atmosphere. Acoustic ceiling panels help reduce noise, air conditioning keeps things comfortable on hot days and our meeting rooms transport you visually – one might feel like the desert, another like the tundra.
As mentioned above, there is a constant flow of information through various meetings, workshops and All Hands sessions. Communication honestly couldn’t be better – I always feel well-informed and fully included in everything that’s going on.
Questions are always welcome and, of course, answered promptly and openly. The way we communicate with each other is direct, positive, and respectful. It’s never about pointing out someone’s weaknesses – it’s about working together to find solutions, supporting one another, and helping each other grow.
You truly feel empowered to give your best every single day.
As mentioned, we are a diverse community that celebrates both our differences and the things that unite us. At PRISMA, every voice is heard equally – regardless of cultural background, religion, gender or age.
Definitely – the work is both challenging and varied, giving you the chance to explore new things and continuously develop yourself. Can’t wait to see what’s coming next! :-)
I love that PRISMA never deletes negative comments through lawyers like other companies do. So, if you only see positive comments in Kununu for them, it is because there are no negative comments.
Everything is too good!
Very friendly and relaxed. Most of the employees have been working for a long time in the company. In other companies, people are rotating constantly, which is a very bad sign!
PRISMA is known to every company in the energy market, and every company talks very good about how challenging and promising PRISMA is. So if you join here, only the sky is the limit!
The slogan of PRISMA is "enabling the green transition". Therefore, I really believe PRISMA helps the green transition!
The oldest colleagues are those in the management, but since they embrace a fully horizontal working ethic, the treatment is great!
Exemplary. The Managing Director feels like a true leader.
Open and transparent. If you have an issue or problem, HR (or even the Management) always have their doors open to talk to you! This is what HR and Management always say, therefore, it must be true.
It is not like other companies where, if you open up, some people are suddenly fired. At PRISMA that would never happen!
Some managers are especially friendly and close towards women, which shows how committed are those managers to putting them under their protection.
Dynamic, agile, empowering, good salary and benefits package.
The right choice to start your career in.
Depending on your role and the company's needs, you might have to adapt your career path.
In general, very diverse, but not so much on the leadership and top management level.
Hard to grow beyond a certain level in your professional path, due to lack of vacancies in the leadership roles as well as limited product engagement/attractiveness.
Great atmosphere. Very welcoming and accepting diversity
There is some subliminal peer pressure in terms of availability and performance outside of working times
Flat hierarchies lead to short career paths. Personal development and education is highly valued and supported
Way above average
The company works in a field that is inherently not very environment friendly. However, the goal is to help enable transition to more sustainable ways, and the company is actively looking into it.
In general good. But there are some undercurrents that can be counter productive
Not many older co workers, but those who are there are valued for their knowledge and expertise
Best management I ever saw. Real leadership as opposed to "Management"
This is definitely an area that needs improvement, too many parallel channels can lead to confusion and misunderstandings
I do see people across the board develop and expand their responsibilities. There is some small room for improvement still though.
PRISMA is a great place to work. It offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to part time work, remote work and workcation. Getting budget for education is also easy.
When you work for PRISMA, your effort contributes to supporting the energy market of Europe, which in term has some contribution to better energy prices for the final consumers. And that is amazing. It is a work with purpose.
The tempo is often directed by people without families and by people who are not good examples for
work-life balance. This in terms sometimes leads to high peer pressure and to overload/burn-out for the people who do have life outside of the work.
Like often the case at IT companies, there are few people above the age of 35.
There is very low diversity at the management level of the company. Even though the majority of the employees are foreigners, almost all team leads and heads are Germans.
On the path that Prisma started now, the only thing saving them is the lack of competitors and high entry barriers.
Generally good unless the air gets stale by any white elephant in the room.
In light of the recent dissapointment I have to say Prisma is currently promising too much compared to their vision. They definetely leave people behind.
Generally good, however as there is the tendency to be overly optimistic, a few times a year you can surely expect crunch time.
Prisma is pretty much a dead carrer wise. There is nobody in Germany who is doing anything similar and very few who do anything similar in terms of technology.
It started very good with open communication and honest feedback, but after a change in management the work ethic got worse pretty fast. Do expect 2nd hand feedback, lying and false reassurance in terms of performance. Most of the decisions are taken on a personal preference basis.
In most cases it is good, however a lot of the feedback is not direct, some of it happens at a gossip level and only reaches you very late.
Great small international team with highly motivated and skilled people. A lot of collaboration and support across departments. Good feedback culture.
More coordination in the product department.
People are friendly and welcoming! The team is very international and since day one I've always felt welcomed and supported :)
I've been here for over 3 years and the feeling hasn't changed.
Te company is understanding and supportive of different needs and preferences. There are different working models (part or reduced time), possibility to work hybrid, onsite or remote from Germany, flexible working hours and more.
You can always develop, learn and explore new topics and responsibilities. As the company is not that big when it comes to number of colleagues, if what you are interested is a “managerial” role, this might be a bit more limited.
Great benefits and attractive compensation
We are currently looking into how we can support the green transition :)
People are friendly, open and always willing to help.
The company is people-centric, empowering and supportive of all colleagues - diversity is deeply appreciated.
Of course this could be different for each team, but personally I have always felt supported, listened to, and empowered!
We have different touchpoints on company, team and individual level. We also have tools like Confluence that helps communication flow.
There's always the possibility to learn and take ownership
Our people and having an impact
I really enjoy coming to the office and work together with the people. It gives me energy and people are super helpful.
Initially, I thought it's a gas company, which is super wrong. Since Feb 2022, our platform and services are even more important and we have an import on providing a fair, accessible and transparent energy market.
There are a bunch of learning opportunities and learning is part of our everyday life. In former companies, my development budget was high enough to book a simple course. I'm happy it's not an issue anymore.
I've never been in a company in which you have the feeling of you working together to achieve a joint goal. I get support if needed, and colleagues ask me for my opinion. Also, it's not just work and we regularly spend time together for BBQ on our balcony or do Boot Camp in the park.
Cool office with a fantastic balcony. Fully equipped work desks and if needed individual devices and tools are possible.
I'm super happy, PRISMA continues to offer a lot flexibility from where to work and made hybrid working as their standard work mode.
The salary is higher than usual in Leipzig and I get more than before. In addition, there are various benefits and perks that has been reviewed due to the pandemic. New is for example a BahnCard50 for people living somewhere else
I never felt mistreated by anyone, and people with different personalities are welcome in PRISMA.
During the last years, I had the chance to work on various projects, left my comfort zone and developed myself, other team members and the company.
Very open and trustful atmosphere.
Work-Life-Balance is excellent, the working times can be handled flexibly and family friendly.
Next to a good salary, there are several perks. For example the company bike program - PRISMA provides all employees a bicycle (you can chose what you like). If you are not a bicycle person, you can also opt for a tram ticket...
No elbow mentality - we work towards the common goal and there is always somebody willing to support and help.
Very close contact to the management. Targets and goals are set together in a transparent process. There is always an open door.
We moved to a modern new office just last year. All working places are equipped with standing desks. IT equipment (e.g. Laptop and Phone) can be chosen by personal preference. Our kitchen area is the communication hotspot - with fresh espresso, tea etc.
Very transparent communication of company strategy, goals and decisions.
So verdient kununu Geld.
