My experience starting as Associate to now Manager
Arbeitsatmosphäre
It all depends on which business unit or partner group you are working in. It differs a lot, I've had the opportunity to work in two different partner groups in two different Lines of Services at PwC (Advisory and internal Firms). I have been lucky, both of them had good partners responsible and great employees and teams. But through my 7+ years with PwC, I also know that it can be very different in other parts of the company.
Kommunikation
PwC does a lot on many different levels, there are PwC-wide communication formats and usually also Lines of Service partner, partner & team specific formats. Transparency & clear communication is something I still think can be improved overall (e.g. don't oversell and say it like it is).
Kollegenzusammenhalt
I've had the opportunity to work with great people and teams. Working in client projects and being paired with colleagues from other teams is another story... You can't really influence this and if that happens, you just have to hope that the next project will be better.
Work-Life-Balance
If you don't manage to draw clear lines of what you are willing to invest in regards of time, you will find yourself working up to 60-70 hours a week. If you are lucky, you have a manager or partner on your project or team who are watching out for you and is a good example him/herself. If you are not lucky, they will expect you to work around the clock.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
As stated in an earlier comment, it all depends on your partner. I've worked directly with some great ones, but also experienced some really bad ones in "neighboring teams". Speaking from years of experience with PwC, they often lack in leadership experience (caring...) and would benefit from some coaching in that regard...
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
If you start at PwC from the lowest level out of the university and move up the ladder, you really don't make enough for the hours and responsibility you have. If you negotiate well and joins later in your career, it's a different story....
