QuoIntelligence operates in an attractive and relevant cybersecurity market, and there are some talented, committed and genuinely good people in the company. The underlying idea and market opportunity have potential.
Based on my personal experience, the biggest problems are leadership, strategy and management quality.
I experienced a significant lack of clear product strategy and structured go-to-market execution. In particular, sales leadership was very disappointing to me. I did not experience the level of strategic direction, commercial leadership, people management or ability to align an experienced team that I would expect from a professional sales organization.
Decision-making often felt very top-down and short-term. In my perception, investor expectations appeared to have a strong influence on priorities, while customer needs, sustainable market development and employee expertise did not always receive the same attention.
Overall, there is a considerable gap between the potential of the company and the quality of leadership and execution I personally experienced.
Build a clear and credible product and go-to-market strategy.
Professionalize the sales leadership and put greater emphasis on actual leadership capability, strategic thinking, communication and people management.
Listen more to experienced employees and create an environment where constructive disagreement is welcomed rather than discouraged.
Reduce short-term, investor-driven decision-making and focus more consistently on customers, product differentiation and sustainable growth.
Most importantly, management should critically assess whether the current leadership structure has the capabilities required for the next stage of the company.
Based on my own experience, substantial changes in leadership and management culture would be necessary before I could recommend the company to experienced candidates.
The atmosphere was negatively affected by uncertainty, top-down management and a lack of confidence in the strategic direction. In my experience, this made it difficult to build genuine trust and long-term motivation.
QuoIntelligence is operating in an interesting market but still has relatively limited market visibility. In my view, building a stronger brand will require a much clearer positioning and product strategy.
Not the main problem from my perspective. My concerns were much more related to leadership, strategy and management culture.
I did not experience a sufficiently structured approach to developing experienced employees or making effective use of their existing expertise. Good people need more than a job title — they need trust, responsibility and strong leadership.
One of the more positive aspects. I worked with several committed and capable colleagues and generally experienced good cooperation on an individual level.
This was the most disappointing area for me.
I experienced insufficient strategic direction, weak people management and a very top-down leadership approach. In my view, experienced employees were not always used effectively, and constructive challenges to decisions did not receive enough consideration.
A senior title does not automatically create leadership. Credibility has to be earned through strategy, communication, competence and the ability to bring people together behind a common objective. I personally did not experience enough of this.
The basic working conditions were not my primary concern. The much larger issues for me were leadership quality, strategy and execution.
There was communication, but communication alone is not the same as transparency. I often missed clear explanations behind decisions, consistent priorities and an open discussion of different perspectives.
Compensation was not the central issue in my experience. My negative assessment is primarily based on leadership, strategic direction and management culture.
I personally did not experience this as one of the core problems and therefore would not make a negative statement here without a specific basis.
The market itself is interesting and there is significant potential. However, interesting technology alone cannot compensate for unclear priorities and the absence of a convincing commercial strategy.
