Arbeitsatmosphäre

I´ve worked at different startups in Berlin and it´s been the first time where it was hard for me to make the decision to leave. The company hired great talent that is setting structure, attracting promising candidates and building good frameworks to work with. The environment is very supportive, people are willing to learn and share with each other.

Kommunikation

Management is very serious about transparency and communication. There is a strong intention for the information to reach everyone: all hands meetings, recorded meetings and trainings that are then available to watch again, documents being shared in content management tools, etc… Sometimes there is a lag between the time that information is supposed to be shared and the time it is received, but the teams are working to improve it.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

The product team is formed by the kind of people who make you want to become a sharp professional and better person. My boss was amazing, difficult to match anywhere else! When working with younger colleagues from other departments there is room for improvement in some cases (it is more frequent to find demands instead of making a self-reflection on one´s work). Management is putting time and effort into changing this.

Work-Life-Balance

Within product, personal lives are respected and individual time is highly appreciated. Just like any professional product team, time waste is associated with inefficient planning rather than high involvement. In other teams, young people want to run the extra mile to learn more, but those who are more experienced are setting boundaries and reinforcing them to have a sustainable environment. It is hard to run a marathon when you´re continuously sprinting - some people get tired after, but have a hard time to sharing it.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

I am very proud to say I worked for a female led startup! Gender equality is a must, stepping up is encouraged and people are motivated to make things better. There could have been a bit of friction in the past, but every important position was hired with prepared people that are able to delegate to their teams. Management is very open to new ideas and finds the way to help you, even if they are from your department! HR was very professionalized since I joined, establishing a direct feedback culture aiming to hear every employee.

Interessante Aufgaben

Product tasks are very cool and every other person in the company is usually interested in being part of product projects because of that! As in any job, there are interesting tasks and not so attractive ones that no one likes to do. Managers are very prone to try new initiatives if you think that it can help in achieving the company´s OKRs.

Gleichberechtigung

It´s one of the first companies I worked for when there is such a motivation to create an inclusive language, to talk about individuals rather than genders and about supporting each other.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

It´s a very safe environment where you can develop cool relationships with people in any role or seniority level!

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

The company likes to support initiatives that aim to improve or progress, the topic doesn´t matter as long as there is a good intention

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Salary bands are available! There are also very cool events that you can attend for free!

Karriere/Weiterbildung

In product, learning is strongly encouraged and knowledge is shared in product guilds. There is some room for improvement in terms of formal training plans, but managers are very key to support you with anything that might make you grow. Be it shadowing someone in a different department, getting budget for books and courses, anything you can think of. If you didn´t get something to help you, it´s usually because you didn´t ask for it.
