Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The product is really great and draws in amazing people that create a fun and open atmosphere amongst each other.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Communication. Be honest, because people aren't stupid. And since it's such a nice atmosphere, people do talk to one another. There seem to be unnecessary lies just so that the current situation can be explained better. But in reality, the truth is always best and people will respect you more for being hoenst. There have been a lot of situations that have just been extremely weird. And the management does retreats and workshops regularly, there just doesn't seem to be any action points from that.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Change the management to people who know how to manage and are good at it. No yessayers that don't know how to stick up for their team.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Really lovely people! That being said, I think it is the product that draws those poeple in, not necessarily the company itself

Kommunikation

It is said a lot that communication is transparent etc, but management doesn't seem to be able to wrap their head around the fact that transparency doesn't just mean presenting numbers, but also when and how things are communicated and in which way. The solution when someone has a problem with communication always is "talk to your head about it". But nothing happens from HR or company side, even if these complains keep on rising and multiplying.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

The people are amazing. The management team seems incapable, is just extremely bad in communicating or taking into consideration the advise from the "lower" agents that have more on hands daily knowledge about a lot of topics. So basically, the amazing team closeness derives from sticking up for each other against the management a lot. Whilst maintaining a good team spirit nevertheless.

Work-Life-Balance

It's good, but you have to stick to it yourself. The company will try to push you into other directions, but if you stick to it firmly from the beginning and show that you can still deliver good work without overhours, it is accepted.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

As mentioned before, the very top management seems very confused. Or at least their decisions often seem incoherent or not thought through longterm. In generel a more longterm vision would be preferable instead of many quick changes all the time.
The teamleads however are amazing! Sticking up for their team and all. It just seems like they are not heard by the management a lot.

Interessante Aufgaben

You are pretty free in picking your own topics (whilst doing the basic work your position aquires of course), but you need to take care of it yourself. There won't be suggestions coming from above, you have to fight for your own special projects.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There aren't that many older people working there. A tiny bit more since they started hiring people with more knowledge which obviously entails also a higher age generally. But that's good, they need the know-how!
Longterm employees are ignored, however. On one hand it's nice to know that you can be very new in the company and still be highly valued right away. But on the other hand it also doesn't feel great when people have worked there for a few years (which is a lot in the start up scene!) and people don't seem to care. Other companies have benefits for longterm employees, e.g. after 3 years you get a 2 week paid sabbatical or something similar. They are still very far away from that.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Lot's of remote work lately obviously. The office is nice and has everything you need. Just it being an open space means it can get pretty loud.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

I think with the product that the company does, there could be much more done in terms of environment friendly materials etc.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

They do offer a pension plan. The salary seems to vary for each person even for the same position and also relies on how good your teamlead is in negotiating with the management.

Image

They try to be more hip than they are. Being "like a family" is actually a red flag nowadays. That often leads to disgruntlement as they portray themselves as flexibel and open, but then the actual company behaviour is pretty strict. It's ok to have a hierarchy, it makes things much more structured actually. Just don't pretend you don't have one and then act differently.
