The product is really great and draws in amazing people that create a fun and open atmosphere amongst each other.
Communication. Be honest, because people aren't stupid. And since it's such a nice atmosphere, people do talk to one another. There seem to be unnecessary lies just so that the current situation can be explained better. But in reality, the truth is always best and people will respect you more for being hoenst. There have been a lot of situations that have just been extremely weird. And the management does retreats and workshops regularly, there just doesn't seem to be any action points from that.
Change the management to people who know how to manage and are good at it. No yessayers that don't know how to stick up for their team.
Really lovely people! That being said, I think it is the product that draws those poeple in, not necessarily the company itself
They try to be more hip than they are. Being "like a family" is actually a red flag nowadays. That often leads to disgruntlement as they portray themselves as flexibel and open, but then the actual company behaviour is pretty strict. It's ok to have a hierarchy, it makes things much more structured actually. Just don't pretend you don't have one and then act differently.
It's good, but you have to stick to it yourself. The company will try to push you into other directions, but if you stick to it firmly from the beginning and show that you can still deliver good work without overhours, it is accepted.
They do offer a pension plan. The salary seems to vary for each person even for the same position and also relies on how good your teamlead is in negotiating with the management.
I think with the product that the company does, there could be much more done in terms of environment friendly materials etc.
The people are amazing. The management team seems incapable, is just extremely bad in communicating or taking into consideration the advise from the "lower" agents that have more on hands daily knowledge about a lot of topics. So basically, the amazing team closeness derives from sticking up for each other against the management a lot. Whilst maintaining a good team spirit nevertheless.
There aren't that many older people working there. A tiny bit more since they started hiring people with more knowledge which obviously entails also a higher age generally. But that's good, they need the know-how!
Longterm employees are ignored, however. On one hand it's nice to know that you can be very new in the company and still be highly valued right away. But on the other hand it also doesn't feel great when people have worked there for a few years (which is a lot in the start up scene!) and people don't seem to care. Other companies have benefits for longterm employees, e.g. after 3 years you get a 2 week paid sabbatical or something similar. They are still very far away from that.
As mentioned before, the very top management seems very confused. Or at least their decisions often seem incoherent or not thought through longterm. In generel a more longterm vision would be preferable instead of many quick changes all the time.
The teamleads however are amazing! Sticking up for their team and all. It just seems like they are not heard by the management a lot.
Lot's of remote work lately obviously. The office is nice and has everything you need. Just it being an open space means it can get pretty loud.
It is said a lot that communication is transparent etc, but management doesn't seem to be able to wrap their head around the fact that transparency doesn't just mean presenting numbers, but also when and how things are communicated and in which way. The solution when someone has a problem with communication always is "talk to your head about it". But nothing happens from HR or company side, even if these complains keep on rising and multiplying.
You are pretty free in picking your own topics (whilst doing the basic work your position aquires of course), but you need to take care of it yourself. There won't be suggestions coming from above, you have to fight for your own special projects.
The people (especially management)
Hire professional team leads, management should do proper coaching sessions (not only in the Berlin female founder bubble and for "great" PR stunts)
There are certain people who stick together and made it to the management team. In my opinion (and other employees I talked to) this has nothing to do with skills but with connections. The management sticks together with no transparency at all. Not even when it comes to work related topics but also when it comes to the personal topics. They never openly talk but slack each other, then they would stand up and go to lunch together. The kitchen door would always be closed when they are eating and one feels very uncomfortable walking in because they immediately stop talking. There is even a couple within this level which I had to find out month after I worked here. Too bad that they carried out a work (?) conflict on my back without me knowing they are a couple.
ArtNight is not really known and if so it is better than it should be. But the person behind it builds up a personal image to the „scene“ with is far far away from reality and competence.
To much pressure, you never know if you are done with your work as there is no constructive feedback.
Even though you have a promised budget for workshops etc. you always need to find the cheapest option. No surprise that you can't expect much from these workshops.
A lot of people left (on purpose or because they got fired), no one want to keep deeper contact because you can't trust anyone. They have a drink after work thing every week but everyone just tries to leave the office as fast as possible.
There are a few older colleges, who stick to the jobs as they still have the vision of having the chance of working in a creative way.
It's the worst I ever experienced. People are in this position without proper skills, they just want to be left alone so if anything goes wrong they can blame the "working bees". Also someone of the highest level does not seem to focus on the company anymore but on her reputation within the start-up scene. Which is funny how Someone with such bad leader skills can present a complete different “outside person“.
In general the office is nice but soulless and because of the people you want to leave as soon as possible. I don't want to start talking about the working conditions for the artists but I personally don't understand why they still tolerate those conditions.
There is no communication. No one knows what others are doing. There are weekly all-hands but it's not informative at all. Ok, sometimes when they announce that people got fired. No constructive one-on-ones, no person of trust from HR side, no honest team buildings. When you work well you would not know because there is no proper positive feedback. When you did anything wrong you will also not know, except you get fired because you don't have connection to the management. When you don’t attend company events during the weekend (one in particular) because you have kids at home, other plans etc. they would not directly tell you it’s bad for your reputation and your career…but they tell you between the lines.
For the workload and expectations it definitely does not hit the average
No afford to talk about diversity. Some employees started some initiatives but there was no response from the management or people who are not likely to be discriminated.
There is potential but as there is no structure or strategy that is followed there is a lot of admin tasks and meetings without value coming up. Then there is a lot of fuss about new opportunities and in the end it always more or less withers away.
Nothing, I am shocked by everything i have saw done to people here.
the management, the incapable way of founders, nothing has apparently changed in the last 5 years things. have always stayed the same, but now company is running out of options and panicking
Be transparent, think about your employees, instead of yourself and how you can only safe yourself. most egoistic and naive management ive ever witnessed
Bad. People want to leave, but many to lazy to change jobs
Its expected you work hard to save the business, even though the management made so many mistakes over the last years and no expect new employees to clean up for them
Does not exist. Everyone fights for themselves. Founders very egoistic attitude, do not care about employees.
Disrespectful. Really people need to understand this is a bad company with bad people in leadership. Do not apply here!
Terrible! Never saw this anywhere. Employees not always get the information they need, it’s very rare, founders do things in the background and don’t update the company Enough. No communication!
Not at all. Your lead does not do a good job to give you something that you grow in, but is only focused on what makes them look good
very nice office and most coworkers very friendly. young team.
management
appreciate your employees and don't talk down on them. you are not better thatn they are.
most coworkers I met were very nice and friendly. they have a super nice office with a lot of "hip" and nice to have items.
image is everything for them and they come off as this "hip" and "trendy" employer. maybe try to be a stable employer instead.
very tricky. some management team members are very nice and polite. others are a true nightmare. i'd highly suggest some trainings along the lines of "how do I speak respectfully with my employees" (and it seemed management has plenty of regular training, nothing comes out of it though. just money thrown away). they may be good at their job/ function but do not know how to manage or even speak to a team or a simple human.
non existent. management team likes to advertise how open their communication is, but that is just a facade. they do have things like allhands meetings but that is it.
also fun addition- up until yesterday (August 24) there was a review online (a very bad one for Realtainment) and it got deleted. it showed how bad they are doing and how bad they can treat their employees. i think this portaits their true colors. nice image to the outside, many problems on the inside which they don't want to show. Kununu is an employee review platform and I think it is deeply disturbing and simply unfair if reviews get deleted by the company. this should not be allowed.
Man lernt schnell neue Leute kennen
Putzen, Materialpflege, Locationsuche, Informationen suchen,…. Alles unbezahlt.
In manchen Städten super.
S.o.
Feedback wird nur FOR SHOW abgefragt. Schade.
Oft chaotisch und widersprüchlich. Man muss sich seine Infos irgendwie zusammensuchen.

Best team I´ve worked in. A lot of flexibility and trust!
Some older colleagues from other departments can sometimes appear resented and create a challenging climate. Pamper them!
Continue reinforcing communication, things are improving a lot!
I´ve worked at different startups in Berlin and it´s been the first time where it was hard for me to make the decision to leave. The company hired great talent that is setting structure, attracting promising candidates and building good frameworks to work with. The environment is very supportive, people are willing to learn and share with each other.
Within product, personal lives are respected and individual time is highly appreciated. Just like any professional product team, time waste is associated with inefficient planning rather than high involvement. In other teams, young people want to run the extra mile to learn more, but those who are more experienced are setting boundaries and reinforcing them to have a sustainable environment. It is hard to run a marathon when you´re continuously sprinting - some people get tired after, but have a hard time to sharing it.
In product, learning is strongly encouraged and knowledge is shared in product guilds. There is some room for improvement in terms of formal training plans, but managers are very key to support you with anything that might make you grow. Be it shadowing someone in a different department, getting budget for books and courses, anything you can think of. If you didn´t get something to help you, it´s usually because you didn´t ask for it.
Salary bands are available! There are also very cool events that you can attend for free!
The company likes to support initiatives that aim to improve or progress, the topic doesn´t matter as long as there is a good intention
The product team is formed by the kind of people who make you want to become a sharp professional and better person. My boss was amazing, difficult to match anywhere else! When working with younger colleagues from other departments there is room for improvement in some cases (it is more frequent to find demands instead of making a self-reflection on one´s work). Management is putting time and effort into changing this.
It´s a very safe environment where you can develop cool relationships with people in any role or seniority level!
I am very proud to say I worked for a female led startup! Gender equality is a must, stepping up is encouraged and people are motivated to make things better. There could have been a bit of friction in the past, but every important position was hired with prepared people that are able to delegate to their teams. Management is very open to new ideas and finds the way to help you, even if they are from your department! HR was very professionalized since I joined, establishing a direct feedback culture aiming to hear every employee.
Management is very serious about transparency and communication. There is a strong intention for the information to reach everyone: all hands meetings, recorded meetings and trainings that are then available to watch again, documents being shared in content management tools, etc… Sometimes there is a lag between the time that information is supposed to be shared and the time it is received, but the teams are working to improve it.
It´s one of the first companies I worked for when there is such a motivation to create an inclusive language, to talk about individuals rather than genders and about supporting each other.
Product tasks are very cool and every other person in the company is usually interested in being part of product projects because of that! As in any job, there are interesting tasks and not so attractive ones that no one likes to do. Managers are very prone to try new initiatives if you think that it can help in achieving the company´s OKRs.
Das junge Team, die Verantwortung und flexibilität.
Wenig Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten für Werkstudenten.
- StartUp mit großen Potential
- tolles Team
Bisher sehr zufrieden!

So verdient kununu Geld.
