Challenging schedules are normal, but flexible work times and telecommute options help a lot to provide the right balance between work and play. Having been introduced last year, this new degree of flexibility makes a big difference compared to the times before.

Being part of a huge global player, we do of course have our hierarchies and administrative processes to deal with, just like any other big company. But what's much more important in our normal daily lives at our regional offices is the openness from leaders towards delegating ownership to teams & individuals, and the degree of freedom to constantly test the boundaries of your current assignment, driving you to come up with smarter ways that will most probably be accepted, provided they are in line with corporate policies. All our evaluations are based on individual objectives that have been agreed at the beginning of the year and are tracked at regular intervals, making the whole process transparent, balanced, and fair.

I'm not aware of any discrimination in our company. Some may feel that working for an Asian company is extra challenging because of the cultural difference, but I always perceived this as an enrichment that allows us to leverage the best of both and drive us way further than others.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Approaching the degree of seniority that puts me into this category, I still feel valued and appreciated. There is a point in time when you reach the glass ceiling, but to me this seems normal in any company. Being recognized for the value that I bring to the party is ample compensation for me.

Noise levels in our open space office setup can sometimes be challenging, the rest is definitely state of the art. A broad array of Covid19 protection measures was installed immediately when the pandemic grew more serious, greatly improving our safety at work in these difficult times.
