ArbeitsatmosphäreEx-Angestellte/r oder Arbeiter/in

Following my start, I could enjoy working there for a month or two, and the atmosphere was better in 2024. However, everything went downhill from early 2025 until the end of my employment.

Everyone was nervous and stressed about what was going to happen, and the "management" couldn't find any solutions whatsoever.
It was like working in a coal mine with very minimal safety standards, where you were scared for your life (i.e., whether you would be fired or not) every day going to work. Just as an example, they started a PIP for 9 people, while the office had 15 people in total. Imagine the pressure...

I don't necessarily blame the employees, though; it was a combination of contributing factors from all sides, meaning some employees, managers, and senior management, in addition to the economic turmoil in the industry.

Let me just say this: the office "manager" was preparing the slides (i.e., the presentation) for the Monday kick-off meeting on Sunday evening, and he was actually bragging about it... You remember your friends from high school or college who studied for exams the night before? That was the case...

Regarding any other communication, if you were not in the senior management group, you were nothing to them, and you really had zero influence on any decision whatsoever.

The new CEO explicitly said during an office visit that a turnover of around 20% in this industry is normal for juniors... So...

KollegenzusammenhaltEx-Angestellte/r oder Arbeiter/in

This was probably the best aspect, although I couldn't get along with everyone.
The more experienced colleagues were cool, but they were all German and had their own group, so there wasn't a strong sense of friendship. However, they were respectful towards me.

Again, when you’re on a sinking ship, you kinda have to stick together.

Work-Life-BalanceEx-Angestellte/r oder Arbeiter/in

This concept simply didn't exist. As an example, I was always on time for my first two months, and then one day I was five minutes late and was lectured about it.

The problematic aspect, however, was the end of the shift. You were judged if you left at 5:30 PM, which was the official end of the shift. In any other industry in Germany, you can just leave when your shift ends, with the public sector being a good example in this regard, but no, I couldn't just leave at 5:30 PM. Why? I don't know...

The worst thing, which I have to mention, was that a considerable number of people were not working at all on home office days, and no one was checking on them or doing anything about it. For them, the work-life balance aspect must have been great, though.

Jesus Christ... I think that's enough for this question.

Communicating with the people from the Industry and learning from their experiences, that was it.
