Average office and insecure corporate culture
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Management appears to struggle with accepting honest criticism and suggestions. While some feedback is acknowledged, much of it is dismissed with explanations rather than action. In recent years, the company has conducted layoffs with no prior notice—employees are immediately let go, access is revoked, and equipment is collected on the spot. This abrupt approach can feel cold and distressing, potentially creating a sense of fear and insecurity among remaining staff.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
1) Keep a designated desk for everyone.
2) Organise a workshop for senior levels on effective people management skills.
3) Please request associates to keep the noise level down in the silent zone area.
4) Maintain a proper decency and professionalism in the company.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The working atmosphere is generally satisfactory, though there is a lot of room for improvement. While managers are open to hearing associates’ concerns, it sometimes feels that not all feedback is fully considered or acted upon, possibly due to a desire to maintain a certain image. This can be discouraging for junior and mid-level associates, potentially impacting motivation and overall engagement.
Image
While the company puts effort into maintaining a positive image on social media—through employee spotlights, holiday posts, and team events—the internal work environment tells a different story. In my experience, the atmosphere was often toxic and unprofessional. I personally did not feel engaged or comfortable after my first week. Overall, there is a noticeable disconnect between the external image and the internal reality.
Work-Life-Balance
This was taken care very seriously, and I do not have any complaints against this point. We could take vacation days anytime, and was never restricted from taking vacations. At times, we had to work extra hours which there were strict deadlines, but thats understood and was never a issue.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
During my time with the organisation, I found the approach of senior management to be quite hierarchical and, at times, overly authoritative. Within the team, a lot of managers demonstrated a sense of superiority regarding their knowledge of processes, which could be discouraging for other team members. On one occasion, when I approached a manager with a question about a task, I was met with a dismissive response: "Didn't you know this already?", which I found disheartening. Such interactions can significantly impact morale and diminish an employee’s motivation to perform effectively.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The working conditions were average, but a few aspects were particularly disappointing:
1) Desk Booking: Employees were required to book a desk each time they came to the office. Only HR and Finance managers had designated desks, which created an impersonal environment—even some C-level executives from other teams had to use random desks.
2) Office Environment: Some areas were poorly ventilated, and despite complaints about noise, the designated "silence zone" remained loud and ineffective. Also the overall vibe of the office never felt like being in a office.
3) Return-to-Office Policy: The combination of an uninspiring office setup and a mandatory 40% in-office requirement, tracked rigidly, felt unnecessarily strict and unprofessional.
Kommunikation
Communication within the team I worked for was not always well-structured. There appears to be a strong hierarchical dynamic, which can make it challenging for junior team members to have their perspectives heard by senior management. In addition to that, not all information is communicated in a timely or clear manner, which has occasionally led to significant delays in task execution due to misunderstandings or lack of clarity.
