Generally, it is a good working environment with several leading people who have open doors for their employees. I have never heard that my line managers had no time or were too busy to support.
The company has some really good employees who are motivated and well-skilled. Of course, every company has some less motivated employees, but they are the minority.
Very well known player in the industry with great history and reputation.
Good work-life balance with hybrid working models and flexible working hours. Private life can be sufficiently arranged around working schedules.
I received support through expensive professional training and was promoted twice.
However, employees need to request training and provide proper justifications.
Competitive salary and good job performance are valued. The company offers several benefits.
Some employees really go beyond their responsibilities to support colleagues. I have experienced situations where people stay longer to help their colleagues without being asked.
We have several employees working for decades for the company (<+20yrs).
Generally good, but the feedback culture could be improved. Managers do not arrange frequent one-on-ones with employees. Feedback is received once per year and only if asked for.
Office in the center of Hamburg. The company offers hybrid working models and flexible working hours.
Communication wasn't always sufficient in my early days with the company, but over time it has improved. However, there is still some room for improvement here and there.
Generally, I don't see indications of gender inequality, but it is a challenging issue. Within SevenCs, the majority of employees are male.
Yes, there are many innovated products under development. Interests in new tasks are usually supported by line managers.
The atmosphere is good between the colleagues, but the fish smells from the head. It’s a typical top-to-down management with a lot of potential to improve. Most of the employees are waiting to finish their work and are already demotivated due to non-competence. Others still didn’t reach the point yet or have cancelled their contracts.
Only the employees with very good contracts are very happy and proud. The rest sits at home and in the office and is waiting for the end of work, weekend or beginning of holiday. Talking badly about the company- if the company gives shit about them, they give a shit about the company (but this happens only in absence of the management…).
You can work between 10-12 and 14-16 o‘clock Monday to Thursday and Friday from 10-12 and 14-15 o’clock, but you can also make a longer lunch nap in front of your PC or playing computer games or you are facing a white wall for the whole day. Work-from-home (not Homeoffice) is granted as long as the superior is allowing it and as long as company don’t pay for any equipment out of the laptop. Parental leave is paid, huge amount of sick days is accepted and actually nobody cares about any hour records.
Linked in Learning for some employees, some get also external training (exemption only and only for the beloved ones). The others are staying on the same level until retirement unless they will not study something on their own (out of office hours).
Unfair and not equal! Intransparent and depending upon the employee. Benefits are: Public transportation in the vicinity, twice a week office is cleaned, amazing new coffee maker (after 30 years of a filter ground coffee maschine with dirty cans). Payment is done regular.
Not more than it needs. As long as it’s cheap, it’s okay I believe…
Some colleagues are okay, but actually most of the remaining colleagues are just seeing their own benefits and don’t care about others- as long as they have 30 days of holiday why should they care about someone having 25 days…
No difference between young and old.
Management is watching his own pocket and benefits. Some of the directors are treating women’s like in the 50’s. Here, in the upper management, only friendship matters! Most of the upper management went together to school, studied together, being in a Russian brotherhood or are old neighbours. Only one or two higher positions are owned by knowledge, the rest not! Hopefully this will change with Teledyne, but actually the new owner is always stating that there will be no changes.
Half painted wall, older furniture, twice a week cleaning of the office (but seldom the tables), no plants or flowers. Quite calm work environment, because most of the company is at home. Onliest noisy days: Tuesday and Thursday.
Plenty rumours are spreed and most of them are matching to the reality, e.g. trainees and work students did not receive any bonus to compensate inflation (Inflationsausgleichsprämie), but most all all other. Instead of a clear communication from management in advance, a decision is made first and afterwards a u-turn is made due to complaints or non realistic targets. Instructions and work procedures are not followed, especially from management. Some departments are communicating well, but most of the departments just see their own department.
Men dominated and „relationship“ is counting.
Existing everywhere. Some are interesting, some not.
