I gained a lot of experience but ...
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- Nice colleagues
- Free food (e. g. waffles, pizza) and beverages
- Modern equipment and fast IT
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- Forced non-organic "growth" (meaning: employing more than 500 people at any cost) and the resulting unclear burocratic structures
- Unclear strategy and/or sudden changes of strategy which a had constant impact on the daily work
- Constant changes in department and team structure (even for a start-up)
- Founders still seem to be heavily involved in the daily operative business (e. g. constantly tagging people in teams and/or jira) and can't let go.
- Non-transparent lay-offs (e.g. people were laid off after they received a good performance review)
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Negative within team because of unfinished projects, lay-offs and lack of strategy.
Kommunikation
Within my team I experienced transparent, fast and goal-orientated communication. Unfortunatly, the communication with my department leaders was difficult because they did not seem to be involved in important discussions and/or did not communicate departmentwide repercussions and changes in a transparent and open way. The communication from the management/c-level improved a bit over the last year (e. g. shorter companywide information calls with less irrelevant information). The communication within the whole organization suffered from the fact that there were too many communication tools in use (intranet, chats and channels in ms teams, confluence, jira ...).
Interessante Aufgaben
Interesting projects and initiatives. Unfortunatly, the majority is never completed.
Gleichberechtigung
While there are female leaders ("female rockstars" in SoSafe-language), the c-level is predominantly male. When asked why the top management is not really diverse one founder answered that SoSafe would only hire the best.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The new office in Cologne is well equipped.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Each employee has an access to Udemy, a corporate learning platform. In 2022 employees had the possibility to book trainings by external providers.
