On paper and looks good, but depends for what department you are working...
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Salary. Training (1 x per year on work-related subject). This is a compulsory requirement for those working at the customer.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
**NOTE**
The following is based on my own opinion, experiences and facts (backed up with real evidence) working for a specific department. Other people and departments might have different opinions and experiences.
- Consistent pressure to meet milestones and deadlines.
- Extreme multitasking between tasks, projects and different roles.
This kills productivity and motivation. Instead of getting one thing done, many things are half-done!
Everyone, and especially the managers and project managers, should read "The Myth of Multitasking", by Dave Crenshaw and get it memorized!
- False overview of the needs and utilization of each team.
- Non-existent project plan across the company. As a result, one team might be requesting/demanding support from another team which is already over-utilized.
- Poor communication and lack of transparency within the team.
- Mobbing and bullying by management and a few colleagues is tolerated and even rewarded!
- Instead of setting goals and motivating people, policing and micromanagement is used to keep "people in line" and “compliant”. Many colleagues have the feeling of being just there to do their job without being able to have an opinion, likes, wishes, etc.
- Besides a lunch at the 5, 10, etc. year anniversary, the company does not appreciate and value the people who have been working there for many years.
Instead, it considers them as "expensive" and tries to push them out to save money.
- Company has already a few legal disputes for illegal actions or unlawful terminations, etc.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Practice what you preach!
Everyone talks about clear communication, honesty, transparency, etc. but in reality, and in my personal experience, it's EXACTLY the opposite.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
It used to be good and fun to work there, but not anymore!

It' OK...
Work-Life-Balance
The end or work time is respected. No one will ask you to stay longer or work off hours. It's a different story though if you have deadlines, etc. Then everyone will remember why the milestones are not met, but will forget that the time frame was not realistic to begin with.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Not many opportunities, at least in my department. But for someone who wants to be involved in the aerospace and related industries, yes.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
In the specific team, everyone does his own stuff. Even though everyone talks about collaboration, team spirit, etc., nothing is done in reality.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
No appreciation and value of the people who have been working there for many years. Instead, the company considers them as "expensive" and tries to push them out to save money.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Bossy, policing and micro management attitude. Lack of any kind of empathy. Emotional intelligence: 0
Kommunikation
There is plenty of communication, etc. but what matters is the implementation and the results.
Gehalt/Benefits
Very good, but this depends on whether one is assigned to a customer and working there full time, or working internally at the company.
Interessante Aufgaben
Yes, depending on the projects.
