Great place to work, but still room for improvement
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Great opportunity to have an european impact, equally great opportunity to invest in a very fast growing fintech in Europe. Good place to work on interesting topics like finance and technology.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Benefit package could be better, constantly hiring seniors from other companies, but hiring them as below seniors in house should probably stop. More diversity.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Perhaps management should listen a bit more to their employees. The direction is good, but many things are still managed directly by the executives and this slows things down and stifles innovation. Higher ups need to let go of a few topics and trust their managers to handle things.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
People work quite hard, that's true, but this also means you work with really passionate people and this passion is contagious.
Kommunikation
Some things are top down, others are bottom up. Switching to a fully cross functional company will help.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
People are great. Very few egos in the house, people happy to collaborate or help you out.
Work-Life-Balance
Whilst people work quite hard, there is no external control over who works how many hours, and when you decide to leave your chair during the day. I would say there are high delivery expectations, but how you deliver is largely up to you. Things could be better in terms of encouraging a healthy balance, and to that effect they are hiring a ton of new people.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
The goals are bold but realistic and management empowers you to achieve your goals and their goals together. What is clear, is that the lack of structure sometimes impairs this clear delivery, but some work is being done to streamline things.
Interessante Aufgaben
Democratize finance, give everyone equal access to capital markets and bridge the pension gap in Europe is incredibly interesting. Whatever department you are in. 10/10
Gleichberechtigung
Some of the advancement opportunities are organized in a more traditional way: you need to wait a certain amount of time to expect a promotion, and they tend to hire people and give them lower seniority, but this also means the experienced people you work with are really quite experienced. It balances things out. In general people are treated equally, of course, the people who were in the first 40-50 employees might have different packages or responsibilities compared to their experience, but as we say, the early bird gets the worm.
Clear salary bands also ensure Gender equality in terms of pay. Equal job equal salary.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Salaries and benefits are a bit on the backburner now. While they dont pay below market, they are also not at the top. They actively listen to the employees however, but things take time to get implemented. More holidays is a big topic right now.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
A clear development path, in house trainings and a development budget would be nice. So this is a better place for people who can handle their own learning and development. A few initiatives are currently in place to improve this.
