Arbeitsatmosphäre
I'm still not a fan of mondays, but it is always fun to get back online and be greeted by friendly colleagues. It's inspiring to work together with other who strive to get the best results for the product and customer. I love being a part of that.
Kommunikation
So far communication has been fast and goal driven. Whether I need help or have questions about tasks, I always have somebody to reach out to and get a response within minutes. For issues that might lead to misunderstandings people are usually fast to join a call.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
I know that colleagues are not friends, but the team is very close. They are always fast to help out if I struggle, which is something I highly appreciate. Outside of the team other people have been very friendly and welcoming and the thursday chats help a lot to get to know them more closely.
Work-Life-Balance
This one is tricky. The work times are flexible and I can choose when to do what, as long as there are no meetings. On the other hand most days there are meetings between 10 and 17, which does not leave that much room to move work times. Then again so far it has never been a problem to take off half a day and move the working hours to the evening if there are no really important meetings. All in all I feel like I can choose when to work and when to take a break.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Both my manager and my lead are excellent. There is still pressure, but they keep away so much of it that even though some days are longer than 8 hours, others are shorter. I took track over the last months and my average working day is 8 hours and 3 minutes, which is pretty much on point. Other than the workload they are very open in communicating shortcomings, praise and helping me focus on weak and strong points to become a better person.
Interessante Aufgaben
Sometimes I find it hard to cut the work for the day, as the tasks are challenging and fun. There have been days where i voluntarily worked a few hours more to get a task finished because I wanted to see the problem solved. I feel like there have been no repetitive tasks yet, every day brings something new.
Gleichberechtigung
I see that they are working hard to get a diverse team and focus on a persons work instead of gender, look or religion. Still, I have to admit that this one is very hard for me to assess as a white male.
Arbeitsbedingungen
I was really afraid that I would get worked to the bone when I quit my old job. So far, expectations for my work have been very fair - challenging, but always doable. There are slots for doing sports together, even in homeoffice and the company is constantly working on being better. If you have feedback, people are happy to take it up and help you out if you have any problems. The only requirement is that you are happy to join the discussion and provide suggestions for how to fix the problem.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
There have been multiple donations to charity causes, but concerning the environment we could probably do more and in a more public way.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
The salary is very fair for what I am doing. I also like the new plans to more openly communicate salary expectations for different levels.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
I joined because I wanted to lean something new and grow as a professional. So far this has totally payed out for me.
