People quickly learn to speak and write as less as possible to minimize the risk of getting blamed. Lying is a matter of survival. Too many people fight for establishing themselves as rulers (with the “management” being indifferent). New colleagues (if they are qualified and smart) leave within their first year.

Kommunikation

Communication is something different than landing some slides on people’s eyes every month.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Teams silently (sometimes even openly) work against each other. Taking credits for other people’s work is encouraged. The good people (there are good people too) lose this game.

Work-Life-Balance

Project management... what is it?? So expect to get overloaded at any time.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

“Managers” are usually overloaded because they don’t actually delegate and micromanage people. There are some exceptions (who are rumored to leave soon).

Interessante Aufgaben

Some interesting tasks immediately become less interesting as soon as people are working on the same project independently from each other (fighting to establish themselves as the rulers). Which is the common scenario here.

Thank you for your open feedback, we take your criticism very seriously. It shouldn’t be an excuse, but Unzer has grown very strongly in the past few months due to the acquisitions we’ve made. With many new colleagues and new locations, it can happen that not everything is set – for example in regard to workload and workflows. Right now, we have implemented more town hall meetings and a continuous flow of newsletters as well as new feedback processes. We are convinced that the working atmosphere will improve significantly once the organization has come together.
