There are several positive aspects worth highlighting, including flexible working hours, the option to work from home/remotely, opportunities to use the development budget for conferences etc., and the chance to gain hands-on experience contributing to the development of a new international platform targeting the Middle East geospatial market.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Opportunities for continuing education are extremely limited. Many employees remain in the same position for years due to a lack of staffing, willingness to foster fair promotions, or structured development paths. As a result, there is little opportunity to acquire new skills or progress professionally.
Compensation is significantly below industry standards for many employees. A particularly demotivating issue is that newly hired employees sometimes earn more than long-tenured staff. The salary range is excessively broad and does not adequately reflect performance, experience, or added responsibilities.
Management quality varies, and in some cases employee treatment is poor. Recognition is rare, constructive feedback is minimal, and communication is often ineffective. Issues are not always taken seriously or escalated appropriately, leading to situations where problems remain unresolved or unnoticed due to notorious '"not my business" type of mindset.
Equal treatment is not consistently practiced. Certain individuals appear to receive preferential treatment or greater flexibility, while others are overlooked or placed at a disadvantage.
While the work has the potential to be engaging, daily tasks are often highly repetitive. Due to a lack of role rotation or replacement planning, many employees perform the same duties for extended periods, limiting learning opportunities and professional growth.
Trust in leadership has declined, contributing to increasing employee frustration and a noticeable deterioration in workplace atmosphere.
Communication from management is not employee-focused. It fails to build trust, encourage engagement, or support an open and collaborative company culture.
Taking on additional responsibilities does not consistently result in corresponding salary adjustments for long-tenured employees. There is occasionally a practice of granting title-only promotions that come with additional tasks and responsibilities but no appropriate increase in compensation.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
The company should ensure fair and transparent compensation practices and equal treatment across teams. It is essential that employees are truly heard and seen, and that management communicates openly without withholding information for the sake of appearances. Beyond eloquent messaging, leadership should actively support people management by providing equal opportunities, meaningful guidance, and clear support for professional development and career advancement.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Management tends to turn a blind eye to employee development, despite direct and well-justified requests. As a result, no career advancement of opportunities.
Gehalt/Benefits
The practice of significantly underpaying employees while assigning them respectable titles, without providing clear advancement opportunities and leaving their roles ambiguously defined, is unfortunately common.
Gleichberechtigung
Some employees are rewarded gratefully, while other remain in a blind spot.
