A great place for strong women - just not for men

Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The payment

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The incomprehensible decisions

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Listen to your employees! Accept that there is racism and sexism in your company and take action against it instead of ignoring it!

Arbeitsatmosphäre

It's stressful, and not just since Corona. Working conditions have been tightened more and more, salaries have been frozen and promotions are no longer given to those who perform but to those who please the management. Unfortunately, these are not always the most hard working. You can say what you want - after all, I'm only a man - but I'm forced to give two or three times as much and my female colleagues are simply given preference because the key positions that have already been awarded internally have also gone to women and they seem to be raising a wall against the world of men. Believe it or not, strong women of emancipation should feel very comfortable here. The man is also given the feeling in private that he is worth nothing and his time has come. he would only make short-sighted decisions and is in any case unsuitable for such a job that requires prudence and far-sightedness. If a man were to say something like that, the women's representation would be active tomorrow and the newspaper would be called in... here, however, also in the small departments everyday life...

Kommunikation

Between the employees AND co-workers who haven't gotten on that train yet, it's pleasant. You can talk about everything and shake your head at a lot of things. However, you have to keep your head down, because as soon as you fly above the radar of some people, you are on the hit list. The communication in this regard at the management levels is accordingly also from the top down. Questions are unwelcome. And so are inquiries.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Many colleagues are friendly, courteous and you have the feeling that you are in the same boat with them. However, if you have the bad luck to be a foreigner of a certain nationality or a man, you should keep your head down so as not to get in the line of fire.

Work-Life-Balance

Terrible. You work in complete chaos in order to somehow keep your job while every halfway competent employee around you slowly but surely leaves.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

It doesn't get any worse than this. From above, sexist, partly racist and domineering. Unfortunately, no one will believe me if I would tell which gender these people belong to.

Interessante Aufgaben

The same treadmill every day

Gleichberechtigung

Absolutely not given. Sexism against men is just as present as racism against some minorities. However, no one will believe that. Just try it out for yourself.

Arbeitsbedingungen

We are sent to the home office - or not. While the founders say they want to introduce home office for everyone as a permanent flexibility, the head of the HR department talks in public interviews about how employees should feel they are missing out if they don't come to the company.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

It's ok for the job, as long as you exclude things that have nothing to do with the work.

I think the reviews everywhere speak for themselves.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

As above

Thank you for reflecting about your time at Urban Sports Club. We feel sorry that you had to make this experience here and would like to apologize sincerely.

The current pandemic wasn’t easy for our company. We had to place many colleagues on short work in order to survive this crisis. Yet, as difficult the situation may be, there is no room for sexism or racism here. If ignored, these "social phenomena" have the ability to control and destroy lives. That is something we cannot ever let happen!

We are taking your feedback very seriously and we will put additional project emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion across the group this year. We don’t tolerate any form of racism or discrimination at Urban Sports Club. In fact, we want to embrace a diverse culture of inclusion and equality. Plurality and heterogeneity are key values that guide our ways of interacting with one another.

We don't invite our peers to keep their heads down. In fact, through our company values we encourage our staff to challenge oneself and each other. Diverse teams are more creative, more successful and more stable during crises, which has helped us significantly during the current Corona pandemic.

Our aspiration is to provide a safe, friendly and inclusive environment for all of our employees, our partners, and our customers.

Human interaction is complex and often unforeseeable. If you ever have a bad experience with a colleague or your lead, our Employee Participation Board (EPB) has an open and impartial ear for every employee. If you don’t feel like contacting HR or the EPB personally, you can always use the anonymous feedback form to raise your voice and to take ownership of the change you wish to see in others.

We wish you all the best for your future,
Your Urban Sports Club Team
