Interesting product
New working policy, management seems to think mostly about themselves and their own comfort
Keep your promises (like it was promised a few months ago from Management, that even "after Corona", at least 2 days home office per week would still be allowed for everyone for the future but now that promise is apparently irrelevant), take employees' wishes and concerns seriously
Used to be great but since the new management took over and changed many things (e.g. home office policy) for the worse, many people are frustrated and less enthusiastic than they used to be.
All employees were allowed to work from home the last 2 years when their kind of work allowed it, many people were promised regular home office days (or even 100% in some cases) when they were hired and they counted on that. Now all of a sudden home office is not allowed anymore, if someone needs it they need to "apply" for it with no guarantee that they will get it or if so if they can rely on it for the future. It also will create jealousy and frustration between the employees if one colleague is allowed to work from home and the other is not. What kind of strategy is that? You need to motivate people in order to reach your goals and this is creating the opposite.
There is a course catalogue for various trainings and a training budget per employee per year
Still good, at least in my department
Management tells employees that they will not get pay rise to help with inflation because company needs to save money (which makes sense) but on the other hand a lot of money is spent for unnecessary things e.g. expensive travel to meetings abroad that could have been attended remotely (also not great under the aspect that this is bad for the environment and Volocopter wants to be an environmental-friendly company and sustainability is allegedly very important...well...) and also Management does not seem to care that people are demotivated and even leave the company because of the recent changes (e.g. working policy).
There are often IT disturbances and one can't work effectively because Outlook won't start or Internet connection gets cut by Security Software etc and that even happens at the office, not only when working at home which is extremely annoying. Modern offices, free lunch and coffee, water etc is free as well.
Such a cool and innovative company. I love the fact that everybody is warm-hearted and diversity is such an important topic. Once it felt like it is okay to be who you are, if its with a hoodie or with a suit. Now with the new management it is feeling like the company loses that spirit. Free Lunch with super food provided!
Focus of the management changed. In my point of you it felt like that the company loses the focus for their biggest resource - the hard working team!
Never change a running system. Everybody was happy and proud to work for that company. Now with the new working policy and the new management, it feels like the people are afraid and losing trust. Good people leave and it feels like nobody from the management cares.
Management changed, since that top-down management, a lot of team leads with zero experience from previous jobs and less information about how to lead their team
It has been a super working environment with a lot of trust and a super work-life-balance. Since the new management came there is no more home office as a standard. Home office needs an exception. It is now all about working hard but getting less.
Open communication
No work-life balance. Working overtime
The project and the tasks. Really intelligent people on board.
The work culture was very toxic to me. I cannot put to words how traumatic the whole experience is.
Pushes you to overwork yourself.
It is encouraged to put people against each other. No real chances to bond with the team and build the trust that is so necessary to work together effectively and actually enjoy it.
Little to no support for younger colleagues. Everyone is so busy and will make sure you know it.
No communication between the team and expecting everybody to always know what they should be doing. Creates confusion and misunderstanding. Very frustrating and chaotic! No support, very few meetings that sound more like a trial. No documentation on tasks.
Sehr interessant, inovativ...neue Technologien
Open to Ideas, creative and close!
Parking in HQ, which technically can be improved
Let us focus on the music that makes VOLOCOPTER thrive and let the noise behind. Bring the dogs to office!
The colleagues are working together very well and with open communication. They trust employees and employees trust their managers. Sometimes, there should be improvements under the management, of course.
In my job, I try to be balanced!
In VOLOCOPTER, this is a work in progress. I believe that VOLOCOPTER is working its way to being sustainable
Some employees are afraid to talk with their team leads, but that is a room for improvement.
Can be improved
New offices and desks! Modern spaces.
Management is clear on their communication. Employees express their thoughts openly through proper channels.
Top-down decision making behind closed doors without paying attention to what that means for people's lifes does clearly not fit to the previous ppirit of the company!
The company was clearly a place to thrive and to meet many motivated and committed people. This vibe is about to die under the new leadership.
Going from a very flexible set-up back to 5 days in the office makes the life of a lot of colleagues hard. The combination of private life and work life gets suddenly very challenging - especially when you have kids.
Still strong even with the new circumstances.
Regular company meetings are still in place however decision making is not a transparent process anymore. Leadership bases decisions on gut feeling and personal preferences rather then on facts and scientific data.
"At Volocopter you'll work twice as and get 2 times less than somewhere else" - quote from current C-Level.
Very open communication of confidential information. This shows trust in staff.
Open and transparent working atmosphere
Demanding, but because of interesting topics you are willing to invest.
You can actively have an impact on your career path, at least in my case.
fair payment.
Colleagues help each other.
Open and transparent. Sometimes a bit difficult to reach out as members of the management fulfill various roles in parallel.
Yes, homeoffice should become restricted, but management offers support. Individual solutions should be possible.
Honest and transparent information on a regular basis.
More and more females add value to the company.
Amazing topics, able to actively define a totally new industry.
Modern technologies, young and positive colleagues, the offices are good
New leadership is breaking core well being values (e.g. Remote work) hoping that employees will leave to cut costs, salaries can barely be negociated, employees are not rewarded when doing excellent work
Meanwhile, frustration and resignation predominate
Still good
Top-Down Management, expects massive over-hours, it's going in the wrong direction
Rumors everywhere and lack of information currently create mistrust
The product and the project is what motivates most of the people to still stay.
So verdient kununu Geld.
