Boring job, nice atmosphere, interesting benefits
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- I can only talk for the merchandising department, but I think the pay is really good, considering that you don't need any special skills
- The benefits are nice and the summer/winter parties are fun
- You can find many friends within Wayfair, as everybody is quite young (between 20-35)
- Open comunication with colleagues, as it is a big open office you can easily walk to your colleague and ask directly, but skype is also being used a lot.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- After a while, any job in that department gets boring. You can change easily but you'll notice that anybody can do your job (except if they require specific skills or languages), so it gets a bit frustrating.
- The berlin office is constantly being controlled by the US office.
And it's difficult trust management. From one day to another, they can decide to disband a team or restructure a department. You might be asked to go to another team, and you obviously do not have the choice
- Constant change: there are always people coming and going, almost nobody wants to stay over 1 or 2 years. Staying long is only interesting if you want to become a Team Lead or manager (which you can achieve by being very eager, doing overhours and taking initiatives...)
Verbesserungsvorschläge
- STOP making people change teams without asking them first!
- some of the learn@work meetings are really basic and not very useful
Arbeitsatmosphäre
As an open office, it can be loud sometimes and that makes it difficult to concentrate. And if 1 gets sick, everybody does...
Kommunikation
Sometimes non-existent, so difficult to rate.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Amazing colleagues! The employees are the best thing at this company.
Work-Life-Balance
In the beginning, we did maaanny overhours. Unpaid. Stopped doing this after a few months
Vorgesetztenverhalten
I was lucky to have competent and fair bosses during these 2 years.
Interessante Aufgaben
I can only comment this for the merchandising department, but I'd like to say: hell no!!! Boring, repetitive tasks that make you feel like a roboter
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Salary OK for me, there is a bonus that you receive twice a year
