The worst experience of my professional career so far.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
nothing...
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Verbesserungsvorschläge
a lot...
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Working atmosphere? What kind of working atmosphere? You can simply tell that the pressure from above permeates the entire company. If you do get a chance to briefly chat with a colleague, the bad mood in the company quickly turns to conversation. Otherwise, tasks are just completed every day in day out without any recognition or time for reflection. Purpose? None.
Image
Image is a joke. Outside of the Infosys cosmos, no one knows this company. Clients are also noticing this and are increasingly switching to agencies with better reputations and more expertise. Essentially, WongDoody is just a workbench for Infosys, which occasionally produces fancy videos for conferences.
Work-Life-Balance
Work-life balance is ok, and overtime is compensated. Nevertheless, the mood on a daily basis weighs on motivation. Every start to a new workday is not filled with joy, but rather with resignation.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Unfortunately, this was also the worst experience I have had in my professional career so far. I am used to a process managed by HR that is clear and transparent. Here I had to take action myself and even set my own appointment for the annual review (?), which is of course extremely motivating. NOT. During the meeting, measures are recorded and approved by both parties. You might think that this would create a certain level of commitment. Unfortunately not. Here, too, no HR department takes action to ensure that the agreed measures are implemented. No. Here, too, I had to take action and follow up several times, both verbally and in writing. At the end of the day, the agreements are simply not implemented, making the supposedly binding and official personnel review basically a pointless farce.
Besides the personal development you can take care of yourself in your private time, there is no budget for professional education at all.
Gehalt/Benefits
Salary is okay if you negotiated well when you joined. If you plan to pursue a career here, things look dark, see below.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
There's nothing being done in that direction, no social days or anything like that. In the past, there was at least a filter to prevent people from working with companies from certain industries or countries of origin. Today, every possible deal is accepted, and it's also assumed that colleagues will simply travel abroad to clients for weeks or longer for projects. Environmental or social concerns? None.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
One of the "best" aspects of working here is the colleagues, who mostly support each other to the best of their ability. However, the constant pressure is already taking its toll. The tone among colleagues is becoming increasingly harsh, and everyone is focusing more and more on their own priorities. Looking at the middle and upper management, things look quite different; more on that later... Generally speaking, however, the colleagues are no longer a USP anymore; a lot of nice colleagues have already resigned or left the company on their own.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Managerial behavior is a disaster, dominated by micromanagement, false promises, scaremongering, ghosting, excessive talks without substance, etc. Time is invested more in posting great stuff on LinkedIn than in talking to their own team. There's a lack of genuine mentors and people in leadership positions who advocate for their colleagues. Instead, everyone secures their own seat and passes the buck down the ladder.
Arbeitsbedingungen
a result of the above, plus heavy technical limitations due to the strict IT regulations from mother company Infosys.
Kommunikation
Communication? Another issue. Not much. Every now and then, there are large-scale crisis meetings where bad reviews like this one and the reasons for them are discussed. Leadership appears remorseful and open. But does this lead to changes? Not really, as can be seen from the constant stream of bad reviews here.
Gleichberechtigung
People of different backgrounds, cultures, and genders work here. But it's not something that's particularly prominently communicated or even proactively lived out beyond the norm.
Interessante Aufgaben
Daily tasks vary here and there, but ultimately, it's the same day in and day out. There's no time or resources for "internal" projects, and if you try to push an idea through internally, you'll find yourself frustrated by a lack of ownership, resources, and approval.
