Actually live your values. And stick to what you promise people. Stop pretending you are not the ones that caused this and face the fact that when you make a mistake you have to address it. Your employees are adults and treating them like they are not able to connect the dots (like a pricy new office, no one showing up, suddenly people are forced to go in -> you want this to be worth it, but can’t be bothered to make it attractive, so you use force).

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The office is too noisy, everyone but the leadership and HR is in one big room where you have to book a desk. It’s too loud and not enjoyable.

Kommunikation

They had big slide shows in Q3 2021 praising how they would work hybrid and allow everyone to be in home office as much as the employee wanted to. A few months ago they completely denied this and said it was only “temporary” due to the pandemic.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Everyone is only looking out for themselves right now, as this is stressful for all.

Work-Life-Balance

If you like going to the office: great, if not: your problem. They never made the home office part of the contracts, so it’s your problem now, not theirs.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

The leaders did not see any reason to argue for their team members and/or try to solve this. They hired people and promised them home office 5 days a week. Now they just say it’s out of their hands and NOBODY feels responsible. It’s the employees fault apparently for trusting the leadership to tell the truth.

They care a lot about the image, but do very little internally to live up to it. They say Wunderflats is about enabling everyone to work from all around the globe- but can’t realise that for their own employees? Truly all for looks and no substance to it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and suggestions for improvement with us.

Our vision, "A world where you can live and work anywhere," is what we want to achieve as a result of our purpose. This vision focuses on our long-term goals, ambitions and future plans.

The Covid-19 pandemic clearly shifted companies to adapt a majority of their employees to work from home. Now that the pandemic is over, we believe it is critical for Wunderflats to develop new work principles to accommodate our growing team and the evolving needs of the business. A hybrid workplace model, combining both mobile work, mainly from home, and traditional office work, can meet these goals.

As part of this transition, we introduced Collaborative Office Days. The objective is to balance in-person and online interaction, while maintaining creativity and fostering stronger collaboration among Wunderflatties – some of whom never had the chance to meet in-person or form connections during the pandemic. We believe that Wunderflatties connecting with their teams and feeling like they are part of the company culture is simply easier to experience in person. Therefore, each team has the flexibility to determine when and how frequently they wish to collaborate from the office.
