Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Open door policy, very friendly colleagues and senior management.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Senior management is actually super friendly and the company culture is really important to them. I wish they would start to listen to people instead of letting people go who have a different opinion from their own.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Listen to the mid-management. Really listen, don't come up with excuses before actually considering if they might have a good point, even if it is different from your own. You hired them because they are experts in their field, not because you want them to say and think exactly what you think.
Valuing diversity means valuing different opinions from your own. It means accepting that people are different, think in different ways and communicate in different ways (even if white male, people are different and your way is not necessarily the only way to go).

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The colleagues are great.
The management has good intent. They say they really care about the company culture and I believe them. I just don't see them actually listening at the moment. (Nothing that can't be resolved)

Very savvy people in the mid-management.
The senior management is smart people, but I wish they would listen to the experts they hire in mid-management instead of firing them "because they were not a good fit". You need to learn from people who have a different opinion, not only from the ones that have the same opinion.

There is a big drive to hire women and people of color for senior positions.
I do not see a big drive to hire people with different opinions or approaches for senior positions.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Can't say, we don't have many. (Which is not unusual in a startup)
We have many colleagues with kids and are respectful of their time and flexibility.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Not high standard but ok.
