Marine Engineer - P&ID and HVAC (m/f/d)

Ferchau Poland invites Marine Engineers specialized in P&ID or HVAC to join our team in Gdańsk. We are looking for someone who will bring additional value to our team. We are looking for an inquiring mind with a passion for quality.

Your responsibilities

• Create P&ID for standard or prototype vessels and various offshore projects
• Create specifications and technical requirements related to project systems and processes, perform initial risk analyses and propose and implement risk mitigations and countermeasures - especially system specification
• Support internal and external stakeholders during project phases - especially classification society and detail design representatives
• Participate in project initial phases - feasibility studies, basic design
• Execute and report project design reviews - with Owner representative and classification society
• Record documents for performed activities and provide insights regarding quantitative and quality

What we expect of you

• Degree in Mechanical, Shipbuilding, Process Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of commercial experience in P&ID, piping or HVAC design, fluid and process systems
• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g. IMO, Class rules)
• Great understanding of relevant subject (eg. Watertight integrity, Fire protection, SRTP, USPH)
• Proficiency with experience in AutoCAD, Plant 3D (module 2D), SmartPlant or other relevant CAD tool
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German will be advantage
• Strong communicative skills
