Senior Software Engineer Backend
As a Senior Software Engineer Backend at mySugr (a Roche company), you will contribute to digital health products that improve the lives of patients. You will work within the Platform Engineering chapter on the navify platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build secure, high-quality, and purpose-driven software.
Responsibilities
- Develop clean, stable, testable, and performant backend code.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product owners, and QA experts.
- Build AI/LLM-powered backend services and tools.
- Participate in code reviews, test coverage, and CI/CD processes.
- Guide and share knowledge with other engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including 2 years in backend development.
- Proficiency in Java 21+, Spring Boot 3+, and SQL/relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
- Experience with OpenID Connect, Keycloak, or similar identity management systems.
- Experience with cloud providers, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Passion for clean code, technical design, and future-proof architectures.
