Senior ADS Programmer

The Senior ADS Programmer role within Analytical Data Science at Roche focuses on transforming statistical analysis plans into high-quality, traceable programming deliverables. You will be responsible for creating and validating datasets, developing statistical outputs, and supporting regulatory submissions while leveraging modern programming languages and visualization tools to drive data-informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and maintain SDTM and ADaM datasets and statistical outputs (TLFs) ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Support programming across diverse data types, including exploratory biomarker and real-world data.
• Collaborate on exploratory analyses and develop interactive tools or dashboards for clinical teams.
• Provide programming leadership, coordinating deliverables across internal and external partners.
• Translate statistical analysis plans into executable specifications and troubleshoot technical challenges.
• Contribute to standard macros, maintain audit trails, and work cross-functionally with biostatistics and data management teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical statistical programming experience (or 3 years with an advanced degree).
• Proficiency in SAS or R and experience with visualization/review tools.
• Deep understanding of statistical quality, endpoints, QC processes, and CDISC standards (SDTM/ADaM).
• Expertise in handling multi-modal data and ability to work independently.
• Fluency in English and demonstrated respect for cultural diversity in a global workplace.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience in cross-functional global teams.
