There appeared to be significant discrepancies in salary levels, with some employees receiving substantially higher compensation than others. Additionally, salary increases seemed to be awarded primarily to those favored by top management.

I had the same salary for a long time and never received a raise. New employees were being paid more, while those of us who had been there longer stayed the same. On top of that, older employees were asked to take salary cuts, while top management and their close colleagues continued to pay themselves large salaries

Internal promotions are decided behind closed doors. If you're well-connected, opportunities come your way; if not, you’ll be overlooked. Instead of rewarding long-term employees with well-deserved raises, management attracts new hires with higher salaries than those in existing positions.

Frankly, high bandwith and i can understand somebodys frustration.

Salary is higher than usual if you were smart during negotiations. Salary ranges are quite high for the same job and there are no standardized budgets. Also you need to perform constantly and I would say working more than 40 hours is expected. So if you calculate your hourly rate you are probably being ripped off. Getting raises is nearly impossible.

The salary is very competitive and well structured while keeping it simple. When you grow and take more responsibility, it's being reviewed.
Benchmarking yourself to others outside of 1NCE can easily be done, and that input is openly discussed with your leaders to help review it. If you bring it up, I have not seen it that there is no solution for it.
