- High flexibility regarding work from home
- Dynamic working hours
- Some very kind colleagues
- In principal, a very interesting product
- The upper management needs training
- Individual employees are not valued and thus, no effort is made to keep them
- Chaotic processes and indecision which leads to work being done for nothing
- Very conservative stance and subpar performance of some long-time employees which noone is allowed to challenge
- More appropriate, higher salaries for everyone (not just the colleagues with a medical degree)
- Less empty "benefits" such as free food
- No more forced socializing like the "hackathons" in winter which are actually a health-risk
- Proper training for upper management
- Less involvement of the CEO in the actual processes
Due to the previously mentioned issues of favouritism not the best atmosphere to work in as some colleagues seem to be valued more for doing considerably less work.
The very flexible work from home policy was actually the best thing about this employer, making it easy to be productive and focused while working.
No growth opportunities whatsoever, even when interest to work in a different department is expressed and there is already collaboration. Instead, they prefer to bring in new people from outside.
Salaries are subpar compared to similar positions in the industry. They try to keep everyone happy by offering other benefits such as free cooked food at the offices but it seems this is just done to save money on actual proper salaries (as offering benefits gives the company tax advantages).
No christmas bonus.
Non-existent. There were compulsory offsites in the office in Sardinia, where everyone was asked to fly. Not exactly environmentally responsible when it comes to carbon footprint.
There are some characters in higher positions who are not suited to or trained for management roles. Dichotomy when it comes to culture: very open and friendly at first glance but when you get deeper into it, there's backstabbing and favouritism.
The few older colleagues we had seemed to be integrated well.
C-levels need management training as most are ex physicians and not really fit to run a company.
The offices were rather small and cramped, no one has their own desk so it's very stressful to find a place to work. Management decisions regarding presence in the office were highly questionable sometimes, e.g. last winter there was a compulsory onsite "Hackathon" where many employees contracted COVID.
The only plus regarding working conditions was the great flexibility when it came to working from home.
No transparency at all.
It seems that certain employees who have been part of the core group from the beginning are being favoured above everyone else.
There was a pronounced fear of trying new things or being open to innovation so tasks tended to become repetitive.
- High flexibility
- Team itself is collaborative and holding strongly on each other
- Off-sites & hackathons
- Lack of emotional intelligence
- Low team motivation due to bad management
- Chaotic processes & management
- (Top)management should improve emotional intelligence and get better training on how to deal with team members who are burned out and who struggle with mental & physical health issues
- Communication between cross-teams is not always clear: Lack of common understanding in terms of priorities & misleading direction
- Management should improve leadership skills and technical expertise to use company-wide tools, i.e. Zoom, GoogleSheets, Figma, Miro…
- Be open to take risks and test, rather than being slow pace and discuss projects for months/years
- Improve team engagement and motivate the team instead of dragging them down
- Optimise onboarding, stakeholder management & handover of e2e projects
Die Mission der Firma
Top Management
Im Grunde müsste man im Top Management einige Köpfe tauschen
Tolles Office, ganz tolle Menschen.
I fell appreciated for what i do
The colleagues are awesome
The company values me as an employee and as a private person
Sometimes it can get a bit chaotic
Work across functional teams could be
That it feels like a second home with plenty of household stuff to do but everyone is helping the best way he can :)
Can't really tell a "big" bad thing, just the money and communication things i mentioned above are a bit frustrating from time to time
Give a bit more weight in the Money in Money-Love-Life-Work-Balance for your employees
It's the core of the culture since the first day I work there, and it's running very well even when something went wrong you've always someone to talk to
See the core elements mentioned above plus the overall goal to give future and present doctors a product that'll help to save lifes
Everyone in the company tries to make it possible to handle all you're stuff you're involved in, without asking about details when it's not necessary
started as a freeworker, then half-time, trainee and proud full time job since years
so im pretty thankful for having the opportunity to grow with the company
No Bonus, no christmas allowance, seeing the income of the company on the other hand...
i'm sure more money in the pocket would have hold some more core employes in the past.
And with love and kidness alone you can't feed your child
Again a big point in the culture of the company since day one, running well as it's possible in our country
Can talk only about my department but it's great! Lovely people and nice to see everyone in video chat every day even if we're far away from each other (even before Covid-19)
see point above
Back in the days it was a closer relationship between "heads" and "workers" but easier with 5-10 people in the office, changed a bit over the years but i think that's normal when you got to manage more then 150 people and still looking for innovation and progress
Nice rooms, nice chairs and tables and whatever you need during the day
starting from the coffee, over sports, over childcare,... ending by the balconies with the great view over berlin
Huge challenge in every growing company, sometimes too much information, sometimes too less, felt a bit overruled in some situations by just not knowing things like what was going in past discussions or a lack of communication but working on it everyday
One of the core elements of the culture, never seen someone judged by his look our culture or whatever since the first day
Everyday still challenging, if you got nothing interesting you'll find something pretty quick
Social integration and happy feeling throughout the work life and low hierarchies.
Nothing really negative. There are upward potentials but the company always seeks for making it a better place.
Try to find and strengthen the capabilities and abilities of your employees and let them help beyond their departments or responsibilities. Live agile workflows throughout the whole company structure and not only IT processes.
It can't be better. You feel like in a community, welcome right away. And the working environment is very comforting.
It has one of the best images in the world, also due to its charity aspect, helping out in third world countries to spread better medical education through out the world.
Due to a high level of social integration and that everyone looks after another you should not be overworked. The company never longs for to much.
You have the possibility but you have to go for it and take the initiative. On the other hand you get a lot of inhouse workshops and get German courses for free.
What do you expect? It's health and studies branch and it's a young company. You don't get a fortune but therefore you get a lot of extra food and drinks and activities for free.
Absolutely great
This is what makes the company great! You can be alone in what you are doing but never lonesome in the process.
Young or old doesn't matter, everyone is in the team.
Very nice and mostly on an equal level to also keep work processes very simple. Sometimes you wish for more structures and awareness of responsibilities, but if that's the case you should take the responsibility - it's a startup.
You get one of the best spots in Berlin to work at and the company is always willing to give you the best working environment they can.
Communication on a social level is very important in this company. Work wise there is always upward potential especially in a fast growing startup.
If you feel not equally treated, you just say something and you are heard and everybody is open for improvement.
Very interesting if you have somehow the relation to medicine or want to make the world a bit better.
So verdient kununu Geld.
