come here if you want to witness a textbook toxic workplace
Verbesserungsvorschläge
At this stage I don't see anything realisticly changing, but: Trust your employees. Honor their time and effort. Focus on getting new projects instead of bullying your staff.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Toxic. Unfortunately Project managers are trained badly and often plan badly. Then they hand the pressure to the team. HR is generally seen as the Managments watchdogs - noone I know would turn to them trustfully. A lot of "record keeping" and distrust. Employees generally are pretty stressed and a lot of them recently have been let go - the talented ones are actively quitting or looking for something else.
Since the economy is bad now the focus seems to be on cost cutting and penny pinching. Managers talk and travel a lot (to the USA) but come "home" without any projects.
Kommunikation
a one way street - except for when you need to stay longer or look into something on the weekend.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
The main reason why people are staying is, that the community is tightly knit and people take care of each other in the dev teams.
Work-Life-Balance
Only when it suits Appsfactory. Example: Return to the office, despite more nearshore and national distributed teams.
Still no overtime pay. If you work on the weekends you need to actively "request" time off.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Generally Bad. Managers do their best but are dictated by the bosses.
Interessante Aufgaben
More and more international clients, challenging environments. not for everybody.
Gleichberechtigung
Nope. Not salary-wise and not represented in Leadership/ Managerial Environment. Female Leads were iced-out financially so they quit. No intentional misogynist, but the amount of females in lead and salaries don't lie.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
there are rarely any colleagues, older than 50.
Arbeitsbedingungen
A big plus: The Offices are modern, central and taken care of. Usually a nice place to be.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Not really active.
Gehalt/Benefits
What a mess!
Benefits like 3 days homeoffice are reduced, while salaries are stagnant. Favoritism rules the salary talks.
Salary descisions are dragged out up to 2 months without feedback.
New "roles" are created to create the illusion of progression w.o. compensation. Example: Tech Lead Associates and "Buddies" kind of do the same thing, but only one group get a little extra pay.
Image
not much of an image externally. For sure not a bad reputation. but many distrust their own products.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
See Salary:
Even if it benefits the company directly, study for i.e. Azure designations have be made on own time.
