Trusted from day one, learned a lot, and got real responsibility in a friendly, small team.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The working atmosphere at Bears with Benefits was positive. As an intern, I was given a level of trust and autonomy that I did not expect, and it made a real difference in how motivated I felt. Colleagues from every department, operations, e-commerce, customer service, finance, were approachable and open, and they treated my input seriously rather than just handing me tasks. When I worked on projects, it was always a collaborative back-and-forth, and people took the time to give feedback and support. The team is small, which means you get to know everyone and there is a friendly, down-to-earth culture. I always felt like a valued part of the team rather than just a temporary intern.
Image
Most people seemed to speak well about the company. The colleagues were usually positive when talking about their work. Overall the impression from the inside was a good one.
Work-Life-Balance
Work-life balance was reasonable overall. Working hours were generally flexible. At times the workload picked up and things got busier, but for the most part the balance was manageable.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There was good room to learn and grow. I picked up a lot of new tools and skills on the job, and I was given the freedom to take on new things and develop as I went. It's a small company, so there isn't a big formal training programme, but the hands-on learning more than made up for it. I came out of it with a lot more than I went in with.
Gehalt/Benefits
The pay was fairly standard for an internship, nothing exceptional. What helped was the benefits side, there were some nice extras like the Deutschland Ticket, which was genuinely useful day to day.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
I wasn't involved in that side of things directly, so I can only speak to the general impression, but it seemed like something the company would consider a lot about.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
There was a good sense of cohesion among colleagues. People across different departments were generally willing to help each other, and collaboration was mostly smooth.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
From what I saw, older and more experienced colleagues were treated with respect and valued for what they brought to the team. Experience was appreciated, and there was a good mix of people at different stages of their careers working well together. I didn't notice anyone being treated differently because of their age.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
I got along well with my supervisor. From the beginning, I was trusted to take on real work and figure things out on my own, which honestly surprised me as an intern, but it pushed me to grow. My supervisor was really open and easy to talk to, so I never felt like I couldn't bring something up. Support was always available when I needed it, even during busy times there was always a moment for a catch up. When I needed a second opinion or access to any speacilized tool, help was always there, it was practical and encouraging. There was genuine empathy too. I was given room to work independently but never felt left on my own.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The working conditions were good. The office was comfortable and I pretty much had everything I needed to get my work done. I could work in a way that suited me, which made it easy to focus. Now and then small things could take a bit longer to sort out, but nothing that got in the way. Overall I had no real complaints.
Kommunikation
Communication at Bears with Benefits was open and straightforward. Because the team is small, it was easy to reach anyone directly, and there was no unnecessary hierarchy slowing things down. When I worked on projects, communication happened as a natural back-and-forth: departments would share what they needed, we would align on the approach, and I would get clear feedback at each stage. People were responsive and approachable, and questions were always welcome. This made it easy to stay on the same page and to keep projects moving without confusion.
Gleichberechtigung
Everyone was treated fairly and with respect, regardless of their background or role. As an intern, I was given the same trust and opportunities as anyone else, and my input was valued just as much. I never saw anyone treated differently in a way that felt unfair.
Interessante Aufgaben
The tasks were genuinely interesting. I got to work on real projects from start to finish, figuring out how to solve actual problems different teams were having rather than just doing busywork. Every project was a bit different, so I was always learning something new, whether it was a new tool, a new system, or a new way of connecting things together. Because I worked with almost every department, the variety kept things engaging, and I never felt stuck doing the same thing over and over. It was the kind of work where I could see the impact of what I built, which made it a lot more satisfying.
